Hello Ray,
Abraham and Jacob are Christians because Jesus Christ is Jehovah. In fact Jesus declared Himself to be the great I AM. There is one God and the God of the Old Testament is the God of the New Testament.
Both Abraham and Jacob predate the Law of Moses and we know that both paid tithes. The how, where and when is irrelevant, the bottom line is they paid tithes.
We have from the bible two faithful Christians who paid tithes!!!!!
