Title: Restrictions where you’re at
Post by: lareli on January 25, 2021, 06:06:20 PM
I’m curious to know what pandemic restrictions you are under in your location.

Where I live restrictions vary from county to county and the state has said that it will impose its state wide restrictions but each county can impose stricter measures if they want.

I live in the Bay Area of California and we have been under some variation of a stay-at-home order since March. With certain business being deemed essential and others being forced to close. Schools have been closed and only operate over zoom calls through the computer. So my 3 kids have been home since March. Churches are not allowed to meet in person. Restaurants have gone back and forth between allowing minimum occupancy dining indoors and strictly outdoors to full on ‘delivery/takeout only’.

I work in building maintenance and they allowed us to come back to work after sending us home for 2 months of shelter-in-place orders at the very beginning of all this. So I’m able to work but the 4000+ Office employees that use to occupy these buildings have all been working from home this whole time.

Masks required whenever you are inside anywhere except your home. I see a lot of people wearing them outdoors as well although I don’t think it’s required.

I’m really curious what it’s like where you guys are all at. Is it drastically different than before Covid? Or is it pretty close to business as usual? Has anyone lost their jobs? Has it been hard being at home for you guys? Has it been hard for your kids to be home?

In New Zealand there is no covid except for those returning from overseas which go into isolation hotels. One person who left there was found to have it but under control and no spread. There is no restrictions here, just advised to use QR code’s. Is tough for businesses that rely on overseas tourists.

Wow, no Covid.. that’s great to hear. So when you say no restrictions I’m assuming that there are no mandatory mask rules either?

We are in Colorado .  Schools are opened up now with masks . I think our restaurants are 25 % occupancy but I expect that to rise soon because our Covid numbers are down . We had a ‘ surge ‘ the beginning of December but things are better now . Stores are all open . My husband has an elective surgery this Friday and that’s still going on .
I live at 7000 feet altitude so when I’m hiking or going on a walk I do not wear a mask and neither do most people , but some do . I’ve flown once . I go wherever I want , but my husband works from home anyway so we are not exposed daily .
I’m so ready for this to be over !

No mask rules, not seen anyone wearing one for about 6 months

I’m glad you don’t have to deal as much with Covid , Rhys .  My dad was stationed in New Zealand during WW2. I’ve always wanted to visit .  You are islands with a total population less then my state so I imagine containment of a virus was more straight forward then it is here . That’s a real blessing for children and the economy .
I hope you are well .

Restrictions in Ohio: Indoor dining permitted 6ft spacing between tables tables and chairs sanitized after meals. Masks required in shopping and grocery stores and 6 foot spacing. Indoor pistol range masks until you are in your lane. Only complaint is fogging of the lenses of my glasses with the masks(all  I tried) Got more scripture study time since voluntary stay at home. I get all flu vaccines, but am going to delay taking the covid for at least 6 months. Prayers for all worse off than us!

Viruses have always been part of life. An acceptable risk. Risk of death is the price of admission for living this life. Not just risk of death, but certainty of it. A year ago it magically became an ‘unacceptable’ risk. As if a spell was cast over the world making it so.

The most tragic element of this all is the psychological detriment to all the kids who have been on virtual house arrest for going on a year now. It’s had an undeniable negative impact.

Imagine sacrificing the mental health of our children or grandchildren for our own health and thinking it’s a virtuous thing. Is it not a shameful thing?

One-hundred years ago, not many children went to school at all or were in near constant contact with peers other than siblings.  Two hundred years ago, far fewer.  If children's mental health is suffering, perhaps there's another cause and another cure.  Kids tend to pick up on and exhibit the emotional attitudes of their parents/guardians.

Back in the old days when I had some disposable income, I travelled in Asia quite a bit.  It wasn't uncommon to see people on the streets and on public transportation/public areas wearing medical masks.  When I asked around about it, I learned that these people weren't wearing masks out of fear of getting sick.  They were wearing them out of concern for the possibility of making other people sick.  It was, in other words, an expression of compassion.  I think it still is.  I prefer my thoughts.

Another thought while I'm typing.

Suppose you wanted to go to a sports event with 74,999 other people.  Two-thirds of you were randomly selected to be put into a group from which .5% would be sacrificed to the gods of football.  Would you still go?  Two-hundred and fifty people who participate are doomed to die.  Quite a half-time show.

Yes, people die, and and all our days are numbered.  Suicide, murder, work-place accidents, traffic.  All these things are worked on to limit loss.  When people (most people) don't know what will happen, they take extra precautions.  I drive slower in rain and fog then at other times.  And when there's ice and snow on the road, if I can, I don't drive at all.

The community (small city) in Ontario, Canada where I live is in lockdown; only thing open is grocery stores and Walmart because they have a grocery store; which, of course, you already know the controversy there (small business vs big guys)....
We had opened up for a short while until we had an outbreak in an apartment building; thus back into lockdown all because a person travelled outside Canada and upon return did not self isolate.  My mother lives in that building.  3 people (aged 75-86) have died; this person brought back the south african variation.  The ones that died did have pre-existing conditions; one person even tested negative and died within 2 weeks of that negative result.  Thank goodness my mother is in good health for 86 years and always does her best to wear mask and gloves; did not socialize as only been in building for about a year.

The person who did not self isolate tested positive on January 28th but the building was not informed until Feb 5th and the health unit did testing on all residents on Feb 7th; thus 19 more tested positive;  had the health unit advised residents sooner and tested sooner would it have helped??  but because they didn't the virus had time to spread.  I'm sure this person who started it all will probably move out if he hasn't already done so.  The community has made it clear how they feel and somehow some know his/her identity.

As far as lockdowns go, I believe they have to lock down the whole province because people in restricted areas travel elsewhere to get what they want thus spreading it;  if everyone is locked down at same time then they have nowhere to go and must stay home!!

As for children, teenagers, I think professionals put ideas of isolation etc into their heads; that they begin to feel that they should have those feelings; children have been too coddled, not allowed to get dirty, we're not allowed to discipline; all we see are ads for disinfectants and told how our homes etc are filled with germs; it goes on.
A lot of what the kids are parroting in behaviour and ideas come from the adults (imo) and media doesn't help.

Truth is, we (nation) need to turn back to God and teach our children.  But all is in God's plan and we can't thwart it.   All we can do is pray according to God's will in our lives.

My parents would be 104 and 101 if they were still living, and I assure you they went to school - in small towns with seemingly not a lot to offer, only it gave them a very good education .  The children now are set up for a school life and social life and for the past year that has been completely disrupted and denied.   More children have died of suicide then covid .  That is a fact.  Last month a nine year old died by suicide- I didn’t know what suicide was when I was nine.  We are doing a grave disservice to our children.    I know of course that parents can rearrange and realign and come up with another way to educate- one of my daughters has done just that and decided to full on home school with once a week school for the home school community and doing clubs like 4H and gymnastics.  But her oldest is 8 and they live in the country and this is working very well for them.

I listened to an employee from OSHA ( health and safety standards ) say our current practices of mask wearing violates everything they were taught.  You cannot restrict peoples breathing day and day out without consequences.   Children need air for their brains to work and we are restricting that.  For every study that shows some efficacy in mask wearing and mitigating disease, I can show you one that shows no difference.  From the CDC’s own statements, their efficacy is minimal.  Think about it, if someone around you has a virus, that virus is on the Outside of your mask.  How many of us treat that mask like its infected?  After a year of dong this ? We shove it in our pockets or in our purse.  And if you are sick or if I get sick,  Stay Home. !   Nothing works better then that.  You don’t spread covid by breathing six feet away from  someone.  You need to be coughing and sneezing so Stay Home.

And now we are being manipulated to  use a vaccine that is experimental and using an mRNA technology that our bodies have never seen before.  I cannot in all good conscience take that vaccine.  I’m going to live or die but I’m not going to manipulate my genes to do that.  I cannot shake that this is evil and I can’t do it. But I’m very concerned for my friends and family that blithely go into whatever a corrupt, manipulative, greedy government is telling them to do.  Last Days?  Well, we’re closer to that then we were.

Do you all see how more states are lifting restrictions? Texas, Mississippi, Wyoming, etc.

This plandemic is going away (and the "invisible virus") during the month of April.

Winter is almost over. Spring is right around the corner.

Keep the faith.

It's strange, but the first child I personally knew who died was a suicide.  That was more than 50 years ago.  Granted, he was more like 14 than 9, but...  I learned a while back from hooking up with his younger sister (my age) on facebook that the reason for his suicide has much more to do with the main thrusts of BT than current events and such.  That's a story for another time, maybe.

Hello

Here in the UK, restrictions are slowly being eased but they are being eased in stages.  By June 21st they say we will "have our freedoms back"

I'm sorry but I believe that as much as I believe in a hell.  It's horse manure.  They "gave us back our freedoms" last year before revoking them again.  They're now talking about "a third wave".  I see people walking into churches wearing masks.  What the?  Those masks are satanic symbols in my opinion.  I have almost never worn one (bar 30 seconds in a doctor's surgery and I took it off).  There is no doubt the world is run by some very evil people.  Many of these people undertake satanic rituals.  This mask wearing is one such ritual often used in child abuse.  And to think they have got most people to follow it is beyond insane.  Do not be deceived.

I do not for one second believe any of this is real.  And there are two reasons to this:  The evidence and the contradictions of our governments clearly makes it obvious that it is a hoax.  Secondly, we are in the last days (yes I understand those last days stretch back thousands of years).  Do not be deceived. And this is one mighty deception.  Governments have always wanted power.  That has been the case since the day dot.  But they just have new ways of wanting to obtain it.

Are there restrictions in Antarctica? Why is it so special, and what is the purpose of the Antarctic Treaty System?

"The main objective of the ATS is to ensure in the interests of all humankind that Antarctica shall continue forever to be used exclusively for peaceful purposes and shall not become the scene or object of international discord. Pursuant to Article 1, the treaty forbids any measures of a military nature, but not the presence of military personnel or equipment for the purposes of scientific research" (Article XII, Article XIII, Article XIV).

What is the greatest lie of all time, in the natural realm?  Which organization was created in 1958? There is never a straight answer.

Rainbows are so beautiful, and not just the colors.

Who perverted the rainbow, and for what purpose?

There is a lie so great that when it is exposed (and it will be exposed) will prove to everyone, including atheists, that the Bible is real.

Earth is very special.

The Great Awakening...
