Title: Just noticed this...
Post by: nightmare sasuke on May 03, 2006, 08:49:34 PM
"For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away" (Heb 8:10-13).

Praise the Lord and his mercy. I don't see how orthodoxy can get around such bold and true statements such as this one without completely tainting and twisting it's obvious, good and true meaning.

Here's some more judgment followed by  mercy.

Isaiah 54:5 For thy Maker [is] thine husband; the LORD of hosts [is] his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.  6 For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.  7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee. 8 In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer.

Deuteronomy 32:36 For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he seeth that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left.

Leviticus 26:43 The land also shall be left of them, and shall enjoy her sabbaths, while she lieth desolate without them: and they shall accept of the punishment of their iniquity: because, even because they despised my judgments, and because their soul abhorred my statutes.  44 And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I [am] the LORD their God.

Amen to that.  Read on to chapter 9, very good.    8)

Heb 9:1
Indeed then, the former also had just statutes of divine service, besides a *worldly holy place.

Heb 9:2
For the tabernacle is constructed~, the front part (in which was, besides the lampstand, the table also, and the show-*=bread), whichany is |termed~ the holy place.

Heb 9:3
Now after the second curtain is a tabernacle *which is |termed~ the holy of *holies,

Heb 9:4
having the golden censer and the ark of the covenant, ocovered~ about everywhere with gold, in which was the golden urn having the manna, and Aaron's *staff *which germinates, and the tablets of the covenant.

Heb 9:5
Now up over it were the cherubim of glory, overshadowing the propitiatory shelter, concerning =which there is nothing accordingin particular to |say now.

Heb 9:6
Now these having been constructed~ thus, the priests, indeed, are passing continually into into the front tabernacle, performing the divine service;

Heb 9:7
yet into the second, the chief priest only, once a *year, not apart from blood, which he is offering forthe sake of himself and the errors of the people,

Heb 9:8
by this the holy *spirit making it evident that the way of the holy places is not as yet omanifest~ while the front tabernacle still |has a standing:

Heb 9:9
whichany is a parable intofor the opresent *period, according to which besidesboth approach presents and sacrifices are being offered~, which |can~ not make the one offering divine service perfect accordingas to the conscience,

Heb 9:10
only onin foods and drinks and baptizings excelling, and just statutes for the flesh, lying~ on them unto the period of reformation.

Heb 9:11
Now Christ, coming~ along a Chief Priest of the impending good things through the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made by hands, that is, not of this *creation;

Heb 9:12
not yeteven through the blood of he-goats and calves, yetbut through His *own blood, entered once for all time into the holy places, _finding~ eonian redemption.

Heb 9:13
For if the blood of he-goats and of bulls, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the ocontaminated~, is hallowing toward the cleanness of the flesh,

Heb 9:14
how much rather shall the blood of *Christ, Who, through the eonian spirit _ooffers Himself flawless to *God, be cleansing your *conscience from dead works intoto be offering divine service to the living and true God?

Heb 9:15
And therefore He is the Mediator of a new covenant, so that at a death occurring~ intofor the deliverance of the transgressions of those onunder the first covenant, *those who are ocalled~ may be obtaining the promise of the eonian enjoyment of the allotment.

Heb 9:16
For whereever there is a covenant, it is necessary to |bring~ in the death of the |covenant~ victim,

Heb 9:17
for a covenant is confirmed onover the dead, since it is not availing at any time when the |covenant~ victim is living.

Heb 9:18
Whence neither the first has been dedicated~ apart from blood.

Heb 9:19
For, every precept being spoken by Moses to the entire people according to the law, taking the blood of *calves and of *he-goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, he sprinkles besidesboth the scroll itself and the entire people,

Heb 9:20
saying, This is the blood of the covenant which *God directs~ towardfor you.

Heb 9:21
Now the tabernacle also, and all the vessels of the ministry he likewise sprinkles with the blood.

Heb 9:22
And almost all is being cleansed~ in blood according to the law, and apart from bloodshedding is becomingcoming~ not pardon.

Heb 9:23
It was necessary, then, for the examples, indeed, of *that in the heavens to be |cleansed~ with these, yet the celestial things themselves with better sacrifices besidethan these.

Heb 9:24
For Christ entered not into holy places made by hands, representations of the true, but into *heaven itself, now to be disclosed to the face of *God for our sakes.

Heb 9:25
Nor yet is it that He may be offering Himself often, even as the chief priest is entering~ into the holies of *holies year accordingby year inby the blood of others,

Heb 9:26
since then He |must often be suffering from the disruption of the world, yet now, once, onat the conclusion of the eons, intofor the repudiation of *sin through His *sacrifice, is He omanifest~.

Heb 9:27
And, accordingin as much as it is |reserved~ to the humanmen to be dying once, yet after this a judging,

Heb 9:28
thus *Christ also, being offered once intofor the bearing of the sins of many, will be |seen out a second time, by *those awaiting~ Him, apart from sin, intofor salvation, through faith.

From what I have learned lately, it's amazing how I was deceived, yet there are many of our brethren and sisters whose eyes have not been opened.  Can't wait for the day when we will all know of all the truths of God.  What a glorious day!  Amen.

God bless,

Gary
