Title: our brother
Post by: cjwood on September 30, 2014, 03:39:15 PM
hello forum family.  it is with a very heavy heart that i post this to let you know our brother john chris passed away yesterday from complications of the als he was suffering with.  we know his suffering is over and that he now sleeps, no more to suffer from the horrific disease, and that we will see him again one day.

my heart aches today so much.  i was to fly to nyc on the 16th of october to finally meet john chris in person.  he was happy to finally get to meet face to face.  it hurts so much to know that will not happen.  praise God for the truths we know about death.  glory and praises to our Father that john was one of His own.

oh my brothers and sisters this hurts my heart so deeply.  please pray for his family to find peace and comfort in You Father and in the knowledge that they will see john chris again, and that his suffering in the flesh is over.

love in Christ,
claudia

I liked John and what he posted. I'm sad to that he has gone but also rejoice as we know it's not the end and his suffering in the flesh has now passed. Praise God all is of Him even though it seems so hard to accept at times.

Oh no... :(

Very sad to hear this. I felt like he didn't post too often but he certainly had a presence here and will certainly be missed.

Prayers for everyone who knew him.

Thank you for passing on this information to the rest of us Claudia.

He will be missed.  Got was merciful to him, he suffered less long than most with this horrific disease.

Thanks, Claudia.  I'd hoped to meet him too before he was diagnosed.  I don't do very well in these situations.

Although I didn't get to meet John Chris in person either, I am happy I had the opportunity to fellowship with him by phone, email and text over the last year.  As sad as it is that he has died so soon, I am relieved he is no longer suffering from this deteriorating disease. :'(

Thanks very much Claudia. I am happy that you kept in touch with him and let us know of him gone for now. We all will go down that short road to await the first resurrection. As will Ray. I love your concern and faith. We walk the short walk of life. As I I often say - we live to die and to die we live again.

I'm praying also Claudia that God brings peace and comfort to John Chris' family in their time of pain and suffering. My heart also goes out to you for the feelings of loss for John.
Even though we know we will see each other again there is still that overwhelming feeling of loss, but thank God John is at rest and he'll be back and he is not suffering anymore.

                       Virginia

Sorry to hear the news.  I liked JohnChris.

If a man dies, will he live again?

All the days of my struggle I will wait
Until my change comes.

You will call, and I will answer You;
You will long for the work of Your hands.
