Title: Pond scum
Post by: EKnight on May 27, 2010, 09:49:09 PM
Does anyone know of an inexpensive way to clear a pond (not a tiny pond) of scum/algae?

For long term White Amur (grass carp) 2 fish keep my 3/4 acre lake clear.  Though it takes a few years for them to grow and eat alot.  You should replentish them every 5-6 years.    In the short term, copper sulfate.  You should be able to find that about anywhere (tractor supply, maybe a lowes or home depot)
