Title: "for ever" without using aion?
Post by: servias on August 05, 2011, 11:30:55 AM
Hey guys much help would be appreciated.

I'm trying to find bible verses that say something or someone lasts "for ever" without using the words aion, aionos, etc.
I know Ray touched on this in one of his papers (can't find it) saying something like..."They could have implied it lasted for ever without using aion, etc."  I can't find this either.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  :)

Dan,

Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be NO END. --Isaiah 9:7

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
--1 Corinthians 15:52-54.
