Post by: carol v on July 09, 2006, 01:38:32 PM
I saw this last night and just wanted to recommend it. A truly great movie with all kinds of spiritual subtext. Loved this film so much I bought it and I never buy movies.

Hi Carol,

Just wanted to say that my husband & I rented that movie & watched about 20 minutes of it & had to turn it off! What we saw was deception, unfaithfulness, super carnality, seduction, promiscuity, lust spirits, lying spirits, bigotry, murder & on & on. Maybe we missed something? Maybe we should have kept watching? What was it that so spoke to you that we missed? Please, fill us in.

Thnx,
Marianne

Hi Mannonthecross,

Yes, it has all those elements at the beginning. But then it becomes a trip to redemption, through a lake of fire while being led by someone who could only represent the elect. I didn't want to say much and give spoilers to the movie. The beginning shows man at his most carnal, the ending is incredible...It takes all 3 buriials for the completion of this spiritual journey.

Iit's for an adult audience for sure.

Hi again, Carol,

Thnx, for your reply & heads up. You know there is so much skank on TV & in movies that one just wants to cut that stuff off. But on the other hand, that (movie) depicts the reality of life & the carnality, to one degree or the other, that we all are being loosed from. It's good news to hear that there was redemption in the end. Perhaps, a reconsideration is in order.  ::)

Thnx, again, Carol.

Blessings,
Marianne
