Are ya'll getting ready for the big game? I am so excited and am already planning our "game night "spread. I hope our children get to come over that night. Michael always has his favorites. This year it's gonna be: stuffed, coated and deep fried jalapeno's, frosted fudge brownies, football shaped and decorated sugar cookies, hot salsa and cheese dip with chips, quesadillas, sausage balls, hot wings, hot barbecued cocktail weiners and that's all so far. I am thinking of trying deep fried Milky Way bars. I am gonna southern fry chicken strips with a dipping sauce too and fixing a chocolate fondue with stuff to dip in! Waht ya' think? anymore ideas? Hi Arcurus,
This is our final professional football game, between the champions of the two different divisions.
Superbowl Sunday is real important here in the states.
Some churches actually cancel services that afternoon, because of it :-\
The Saints are the team from New Orleans that I was pulling for.
They were big under dogs, but made it farther than they ever have before, to the last playoff game.
It wasn't fair they are from the south, and had to go play in the freezing cold, against the Chicago Bears :(
Anyway I hope I got all that right.
I hardly ever watch, but the Saints did so good this year, I just had to :)
mercy, peace, and love

To All,
It's called a trip to the strip and ordering pizza for the night. Everyone have fun.

That's called "home field advantage"; based on division record for the year, I think. However, the "advantage" is taken away for the Super Bowl.

If I was there, I would need some Pepto-Bismol. The many combinations would have my stomach in an up-roar. Sounds very good, Jennie.

We have got Kaiser Chiefs and Bush Bucks and they do not play Base Ball they play Champion league soccer! :D

I was hoping for the Saints to be there as well... you know .... get some Southern blood in the game!!! Michael's favorite childhood team was the Colts so we'll be cheering for them. Ya'll come on over...B.Y.O.B.(bring your own Bismal!). My stomach isn't too great either so I just cook everything and Michael and whoever pops over eats it up! We have had as many as 45 people here for the game so pack up and come on down! Love, Jennie

Jennie I am sure a gathering at your home would be a wonderful expierience. How blessed all those who attend are.

Exactly! The Bears earned that home field advantage throughout the playoffs based on their division record, therefore it was fair.
However, the "advantage" is taken away for the Super Bowl.
The Bears are still gonna win! ;D

Hi All,
I lived in Indianapolis for 15 years, (1986-2001), therefore I have to cheer on the Colts. GO COLTS!

To All,
Well we are not cheering for anyone. I really do not care for the 2 teams in the Superbowl. It allows us to get together with some friends to eat and drink and laugh about all the superbowls past. Maybe we might turn the mute off ocassionaly.
Sincerely,
Anne C. McGuire

Go Bears! ;D ;)

Sorin,
In all honesty, I probably will not even watch the game. ;D I'll check the score from time to time. The only cheering I'm really doing these days, is cheering my brethern on to be overcomers!
Peace,
Rene'

Actually I watched Poiroit thru the whole thing, but my husband said it was a boring game with boring commercials.
I do like Peyton Manning, but my hubby was born & raised in Chicago.
-
To All,
I only watched 6 minutes of the game and then turned it off. I figured that since at the time of the game I was in the chat room I would get a running update. And sure enough I did.
Well I guess the bears are not dancing anymore. ;D
Sincerely,
Anne C. McGuire
