Title: in the hospital
Post by: meee on July 26, 2009, 12:19:11 PM: Our little Jakob has been unable to keep much down since last Wendnesday when he first started throwing up at the dentist. Last night our daughter being worried, left work early to go home and found him not good at all. She took him to the hospital and he was admitted with dehydration.

Again thank you for your response to my plea!
Just want to let you know Jake is home and doing so much better. Our daughter said the hospital guesses that he was maybe 10% dehydrated, when it gets a bit more than that, it can be harder to recover.
When Jake was home, he walked in and looked around and began to cry. I wonder if he had wondered if he'd ever be home again and he was so happy he was. He can't tell us, so it's just Nana wondering.
Praise God that he went to the hospital when he did and is doing well now.

PS: he will see the same dentist Aug. 8 and they will try filling his tooth.

This morning Jakob had another dentist appointment. This time he let the dentist fill his tooth. They were quite pleased at how well he did.
His Mom had been preparing him and he appears to have understood. I've been praying that God would have Jake understand enough, so he would let the dentist work on his tooth. Praise God, this is exactly how it turned out.
No throwing up this time, except once on the trip home, but that stopped and he hasn't done it again.

indeed it is good news that your jake is doing much better now, and especially that he allowed the dentist to fill his tooth. for jake to be able to understand enough about the visit to the dentist, is a major victory for him as he journeys the road of autism. i know that his mom and you and the rest of your family are very excited for this breakthrough.

I really feel that were we given a miracle, because this is a 100% turn about in how Jake did from just a couple weeks ago.
