You know you're not awake when,
The person you've been talking to for the past 2 minutes is the squirrel that comes eats peanuts with you in the morning during your morning coffee in the back yard.  ;D

What is really amazing is that I having a profound hearing loss have carried on a conversation with my Wife for 3 whole minutes only to find that we weren't even talking about the same subject matter.

...Or how about when your husband rolls over in the middle of the night and thinks that he is kissing your neck (and moving my long hair out of the way), only to wake up to find out that HE HAD BEEN KISSING HIS OWN VERY HAIRY FOREARM!!!! I remember when I was sleeping in my friend's house and I wondered if I should wake her up, because I couldn't sleep. I was sitting in her bed and when I watched her, she snored like an angel, little gentle snoring, and her leg moved in the same rhythm as the snore. It was really funny to see. ^^
