Title: Our day to day dealings with deceiving spirits...
Post by: acomplishedartis on September 28, 2016, 04:52:23 AM

Hi, I have many fair questions about the nature, life and existence of 'deceiving spirits', maybe someone has answers or would like to share his view!

''and he having gone forth upon the land, there met him a certain man, out of the city, who had demons for a long time, and with a garment was not clothed, and in a house was not abiding, but in the tombs,

and having seen Jesus, and having cried out, he fell before him, and with a loud voice, said, `What -- to me and to thee, Jesus, Son of God Most High? I beseech thee, mayest thou not afflict me!'

For he commanded the unclean spirit to come forth from the man, for many times it had caught him, and he was being bound with chains and fetters -- guarded, and breaking asunder the bonds he was driven by the demons to the deserts.

And Jesus questioned him, saying, `What is thy name?' and he said, `Legion,' (because many demons were entered into him,) and he was calling on him, that he may not command them to go away to the abyss, and there was there a herd of many swine feeding in the mountain, and they were calling on him, that he might suffer them to enter into these, and he suffered them, and the demons having gone forth from the man, did enter into the swine, and the herd rushed down the steep to the lake, and were choked.''     (Luke 8:27-33)

First, it seems to me that 'deceiving spirits' should be very intelligent, clever and with different types of skills and personalities, if they have been watching and influencing humans trough so many generations. If Jesus says that the devils kingdom can't be divided against itself, then there is good communication and organization among this 'deceiving spirits'. In Scriptures, these deceiving spirits are never described with similar characteristics as the angels (like appearing to people in certain occasions), seems to me that they are a very different kind of spiritual beings.

So,
WHY and HOW do they made their cozy home or nest in human minds? Why do they feel more comfortable possessing animals than away in the ''waterless places, the submerged chaos, the abyss'' (as some translations put it, which by the way, does anybody knows what does these things mean?)? And WHY did they made those pigs to kill themselves? Why they didn't rather go to posses other human minds right away?

Seems like they know specially more about Gods truly servants, also I guess they can know different languages... Can they give unknown information to their human hosts? Why did they made this 'certain man' to live among the tombs?

WHY where they so afraid, distressed, tormented when Jesus was close to them? Why did Jesus had mercy on them?

What is their main point of existence? what motivates them? WHY are they so obedient to the Devil? What do they gain with it?

I am sorry if I am overwhelming with questions to anyone around here, I just think these things might be important to understand a little better more angles and pieces of God's master plan to be ALL in ALL...

Seems that by nature this deceiving spirits are cruel, evil, angry, anxious and violent. And that they make a very good job at misleading, lying, seducing, suggesting, controlling and influencing human minds trough intricate ideologies and doctrines. And that we humans have the capacity to worship them (obey them, admire them), sacrifice things for them and partake of their cup and table (does this means to make them our dear spirit friends?).

I am guessing right that human minds can be possessed, used, habituated by these deceiving spirits but on different degrees, and according to the scriptures this deceiving spirits can highly influence humans to perform inconvenient ritualistic behaviors and to change their moods, character, personality, attitudes, to believe lies and eventually fall into constant anxiety, fear, depression or even suicidal thoughts.

Also seems like this deceiving spirits have the power to make certain humans to go naked, live in tombs, become very strong and to harm them bad, casting them into fire and water, making them sick and convulsing with foam. --pretty scary!

WHAT do they get out of all these? If they are spirit beings, how can they give so much physical strength to humans? Why do they hate humans so much? Does anyone has an idea how does the devil's kingdom's structure works? Do they obey God out of fear? Do they think that they can one day they will go against God's will? Do they all are spirits with a carnal mind just as their leader, the devil?

No-where in the Scriptures says that they can read our minds... All these might sound lime asking too much but What I am really trying to figure out is how my awareness of the influence of this spiritual beings on my day to day life will be able to affect my spiritual well being. I am not obsessed with it, this is just one more piece of a bigger personal research I find myself into.

Ephesians 6:20 tells us how to deal in a daily base with these deceiving spirits who are fighting against us with lies, injustices, anxiety and doubts. Eventually all their power and authority over us humans is going to end. And I am guessing that for God to be ALL in ALL, eventually this deceiving spirits will have to change into a different kind of nature...

''Each event will happen in the right order: Christ, the first crop of the harvest, then those who belong to Christ at his coming, and then the end, when Christ hands over the kingdom to God the Father, when he brings every form of rule, every authority and power to an end. It is necessary for him to rule until he puts all enemies under his feet. Death is the last enemy to be brought to an end, since he has brought everything under control under his feet...But when all things have been brought under his control, then the Son himself will also be under the control of the one who gave him control over everything so that God may be all in all.'' (1Cor. 15:23-28)

Rev 20:10 (CLV) And the Adversary who is deceiving them was cast into the lake of fire and sulphur, where the wild beast and where the false prophet are also. And they shall be tormented day and night for the eons of the eons."

They are cast into the lake of fire just as we are. They are also learning about good and evil just as we are. It's just their perspective is different from ours.

2Ti 2:20  But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

All of creation is playing the role God determined before the foundation of the world.

Eph 6-12. because to us the wrestling is not against blood and flesh, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Col 1-16 because in him were the all things created, those in the heavens, and those upon the earth, those visible, and those invisible, whether thrones, whether lordships, whether principalities, whether authorities; all things through him, and for him, have been created.

When I read such passages I rest assured that  all of Gods creation serve its purpose in his Grand Master plan
Still we face the same questions when it comes to evil spirits possessing people, being born and raised in Brazil I have witnessed these things from time to time specially if you go to the northeast part of Brazil where people invite these evil spirits on a daily basis, it became part of their culture ,I know it sounds surreal when you dont see these things here in the US,
As for me when I was part of the worldly church I to wanted to know more about it but thank God quit on the subject, is not good to be looking for these things take it from a personal experience the more you look the more you see, and now I know the sorrows this world has to endure can never compare to the life to come.
Anyway just wanted to give my 2 cents on the subject .
Peace be with you.
