Title: Exodus Chapter 4
Post by: ciy on August 03, 2007, 06:50:31 PM
The following verses are in Exodus Chapter 4.  These seem to me to be a foreshadowing of John the Baptist and Jesus. And then Jesus receiving the spirit during the baptism (and kissed him)

16And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead of God.

27And the LORD said to Aaron, Go into the wilderness to meet Moses. And he went, and met him in the mount of God, and kissed him.

Some good meat to ponder.  I love this stuff.

Hi CIY,

To be honest, I never looked at it in this light before, but I can clearly see the similarities.

The OT foreshadowed the coming of Christ and the new order. I agree, there is a lot to chew on here. :)

Love in Christ, the Lamb,

I still need practice at reading the OT w/ our "new knowledge".  I tend to skim over and let it just be in the physical.  I love seeing how it works as types/shadows and physical/spiritual.
