I can't find the verse, but Paul was talking about taking care of those who teach and give to them double? Does that qualify supporting your pastor?

Dear Mike: It qualifies them IF they meet the "qualifications"--1Ti 5:17 Let the elders that rule well [Gk: 'presided IDEALLY'] be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.
If they teach right doctrine and are of good character, etc., but if they teach false and damnable heresies (like God is going to torture most of humanity in an eternal hellhole of fire), they are worthy of nothing but Judgment. Hope this helps your understanding.
