Was Jesus spirit, like the Father, before coming to earth as a man through Mary?

Hi Extol,

John 17:5  And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.

To have been with God the Father in glory before the world was He would have had to be spirit, because God is Spirit.

John 4:24  God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

Hi! Extol

Jesus was with the Father before He came to earth and was born in the flesh of man. The Father is Spirit so Jesus must have been Spirit. Jesus Himself says: “I came forth from the Father and have come into the world; I am leaving the world again and going to the Father.” (Jn.16:28).
