Title: Bible-Truths Needs
Post by: Phil3:10 on November 21, 2007, 12:55:21 AM
I am new to this board but have been reading Ray's teachings for nearly 2 years. I was fortunate enough to attend the Conference in May, 2007 and have probably read everything Ray has written and most of his audio presentations. It has taken me time to join this board and I guess the major factor was Ray's discussion regarding the drop off in financial contributions. I do intend to make this a priority for me in the future and earnestly pray that all on this forum will prayerfully consider doing the same. Someone told me at the Nashville conference that there was little need as several wealthy individuals were paying the expenses. I was able to talk to Harry and make a contribution before leaving Nashville and have been enjoying Ray's teachings and this forum in complete ignorance since then.
I came out of the denominational, institutional. organized church system 2 years ago and without Ray's teachings I don't know where I would be today. I thank my LORD that I had this opportunity and feel sure most everyone involved in this forum would feel the same. It was a Google word search that led me to bible-truths.com and I fully agree that the internet is the media of the future.
I do look forward to contributing to this forum in the future and the fellowship with like-minded believers that is so evident. I will prayerfully make ever effort to not be a loud mouth or to create any conflict. I have many questions and spiritual concerns and will be making them known in the future.
I have said enough now and ask that all consider my plea for the financial needs of the bible-truth.com ministry.

Hi Rick,

I'm glad you have decided to join us  :)
As Ray explained at the last conference in Mobile the cost for advertising on the internet is always rising.  I guess it was time for God to let the need be known.
I hope you will enjoy the fellowship we have here, it is such a blessing.  There is so much we can share from what we are learning at Bible-truths, I hope you will join in the discussion.

mercy, peace and love

Welcome Rick
(http://pages.prodigy.net/indianahawkeye/newpage25/6.gif)

We all look forward to your posts. All of us are here to learn and and grow and also to share our sorrows and our joys.

How sweet .....I am so glad that you pointed out that this website needs to be supported.  God knows those who are in a position to do so and those who are not at this time
.

(Phi 4:17 KJVR)  Not because (BT) /I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.

(Phi 4:18 KJVR)  But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odor of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well-pleasing to God.

(Phi 4:19 KJVR)  But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus
.

Hi Rick & Everyone!!

I too am in wholehearted approval of all of us being able to contribute financially to bibletruths.com whenever and however we can.  Could someone do us the favor of giving us the address to where we can send our contributions, please?  Thank you (and Jesus thanks you all too, I'm SURE!!   :D )

Another thing that might be helpful for all of us "out here looking in on bibletruths.com" is to let us know how much per month it costs you to keep this website up, so we members can  SEE  just where we stand, in keeping up our Heavenly Church, and thus KNOW how much we could TRY to contribute periodically, to assure the Church's healthiness.  Thanks again, for this!

With love and gratitude for your service, Ray Smith!!

Welcome Rick,

Are you the fellow who sat in the front on the right at the Nashville meeting?  Maybe your full name included the first name of Phillip and you were from California?  Just hoping that I remembered correctly.

In either case, we hope to read many contributions and become even better friends.

I have a limit on Google of $150.00 per day which we meet most days.

Sometimes we run low on money and I have to pause Google. We did not advertise in October and the first week of November.

I was expecting to pause advertising again today, but Ray's talk helped bring in more income and it looks like I can let it continue at least another week.

We use to spend 5 to 10 cents per click. Now it's 10 to 20 cents and it seems Google is forcing us to mostly 20 cents. But we spend 32 cents on the term "Tithing."

You probably cannot make much out of this, but it's the best I can do for now. It shows what we spent yesterday, $149.92.

Thanks very much to Dennis for the financial update. At $150.00 per day this is just a little less that $55,000 per year for Google.  This is about what most denominational preachers in my area average per year. If BT could get a minimum of $350,000 per years (budget of the church I came out of) can you grasp the impact. Of course, this would probably increase the giving two-three fold and what would the continuing benefits be for the cause of our LORD? This makes you think a little. What would one-tenth of TBN's budget accomplish in spreading the real truths of or LORD? Some very interesting things for all of us to ponder as we consider our giving to a ministry we value so much. I have spent hundreds of hours over the past two years in BT and have not yet found anything that I personally find wrong about Ray's teachings. I may not 100% agree every time but I have never been able to scripturally refute his teachings. Oh, for the world to get to share in these blessings. What an impact the LORD can let us participate in in sharing this ministry. Just some thoughts for all. My thanks to the many unpaid individuals in this ministry and the impact they are having in my walk with my LORD. A very special thanks to Ray for his unselfish work and leadership.

That assumes we advertise everyday Rick, which we do not.

I too have wondered what we could do if we had some real money to advertise. But God has already decided how big bible-truths.com will ever get.

Dennis,
I agree that GOD knows and has already decided how much influence BT will have in bringing many to HIS Kingdom. But it is mind-boggling to think what multiple increases in contributions could accomplish. It is GOD'S will that will be done and we all know HIS will be done.

New Friend Rick Ingram,

The way I like to think about the growth of the "true church" is to recall that God has been working on this for almost 2000 years, if Jesus was the starting point, and God is apparently selecting a few from each generation and from each level of society.  I suppose that it is important that God be able to appoint a variety of teachers and managers to guide and serve the various characteristics that will be existing in the general resurrection.

Not may wise or powerful, as the world sees wisdom, will be called at this time, and yet some powerful and some very talented and dedicated people are called.  So, for me it is important to realize that my children or relatives may not be called at this time and that God has good and just reasons for that decision.

For most people, reading the Bible Truths web site is just an exercise in curiosity rather than a sincere seeking after truth.  The reason being that truth seekers, in my opinion, must be willing to change; even if the willingness itself is God inspired.

We of ourselves are nothing and yet we who are being changed and corrected will become something of great value to our creator as a tool for serving and to our fellow citizens as an example of what God can do with very little.  We all are just the clay, God is the artist producing the beautiful work of art.

AMEN to you, Dennis....AND Bob!!

BT has been a life-changing occurrence in my life, with gratitude to Ray for his diligent labor of LOVE.  My heart goes out to him, and to ALL who WANT to be changed into the spiritual Image of Christ and the Father of Christ & us all.   (My heart also FEELS  for those who don't have ANY inkling of what Christ can DO to, for, and with them....I pray that God reaches a good number of them BEFORE Christ returns!!!!!!!!!)

Fellow brethern and sistern

The little local church I have attended (300 or so for preaching) has a budget of one million dollars per year.  They reach zero with the truth of God.

Everyone who visits this site has the truth of God before their very eyes.  We average one thousand visits per DAY.  Our budget is not known by me but is maybe one fortieth of the little local church.

We teach truth.  They don't.  WE reach hundreds of thousands, more than a million in total.  They don't.  They give their money, we don't.  I don't get it.
I do chastise myself for not giving more.

Bob,
I do thank you for calling me your new friend and now remember you and your wife were in the row in front of me in Nashville. I hope you will be my new friend as I find your posts in this forum to be a real blessing to me and many
others. If we could all just remember it is not about us, just HIM. In the flesh there in nothing good, the harder we try does not always make us better and can make us much worse. If we just abide in HIM and HE in us much good can be accomplished.
My thanks to all who have responded to this thread and keep praying for the financial needs of Bible-Truths Ministry.

Thank you for the kind reply Rick,

I pray that we can build upon the association that began in Nashville and grow from there.

Thanks for recalling my wife as she has been the rock that kept me in balance through the years of searching for the truth.  Doris hasn't always been enthusiastic about attending and about tithing,  Ha ha, and with good reason. She wasn't baptized until years after I was, but she is quite perceptive and can see right through some phony people who could mislead me for a while.  Through it all she has been very patient with my limitations and faults and has been a blessing from God in many other ways.  We will be celebrating 47 years together next March and have four children who hug us enthusiastically whenever they visit.  Yes, I would say we are blessed.

Please write and share some personal details if you want, I love to know the intimate stuff about people if they care to share.

Regards, Bob & Doris Breyfogle

Bob,
Just a few personal notes notes. I am 65 years old, have the best wife in the world, three adult children and two very special grandaughter's. Love abounds in our home. GOD has been so good to me.
I have been a factory worker, teacher, real estate broker, home builder, certified fee appraiser, and now do most of my work as a certified loan signing agent in closing mortgage loans.  I am not retired but trying to slow down to do what I would like for the rest of my days. My wife and I have been married for 42 years and most of our time involves our families. My wife has been my everything to me even though we do not yet agree on all. It is my hope to get her to attend the next Bible Conference in Nashville.
We live in Sheffield, Alabama about 60 miles west of Huntsville and some 120 miles from Nashville and Birmingham.
I am so glad to hear about your love and relationship with your wife Doris. My mother's name was Doris and I have recently met my new son-in-laws step mother Doris who reminds me of my mother.
I pray you and all members of the BT forum continue to receive daily the blessings of our LORD.
Rick Ingram
