Hi Gena, Mark & Eileen,

I am still lurking or you might say watching  ;) but present circumstances do not allow me to devote the time that it requires to be an effective moderator.

Things seem to be going well enough here so I do feel a certain peace knowing that my relative absence has not been a burden on the other moderators.

Gena! Sorry I missed your birthday, Hope you had a good one!

I'm going to the conference, God willing...I do hate to drive and even though I only live a few short hours from Mobile, it's scary for me!! I was hoping to get to meet you! I'm looking forward to getting to meet everyone!!

Thanks Kathy! and Darn...I wish I could go...Nashville was a little easier to get to.  Also the timing- I have grades and conferences then....but when is one time a good one for everyone??  I am glad you get to go...everyone will get blessed for sure!

that term reminds me of one of my all time favorites tv series i used to watch called 'Highlander'. the highlander was an 'immortal'  :o, and my favorite highlander, named duncan mccloud had a 'watcher' named joe. you can be my watcher joe. i do miss your posts though.

Happy birth anniversary Gena and husband.

Recalling the nice dinner we had when I was last at conference.

I won't be able to make it this year either, but perhaps in 2010.

It's great for a great lady like yourself to be 29 again.  "smile"

I'm sure that you will miss the children you teach after you finally retire.

Caring for so many minds can certainly be a challenge, but I think that is your strength.

Just remember that you're only as old as you feel.  So think young.

OK  I hereby officially have a birthday month!!  I just got flowers the other day for my birthday (the 6th), said they forgot etc, etc.....so next year the entire month of October is officially mine!!!  No belateds anymore.  Everyone is exactly on time. ;)
