Hello everyone,
My name is Ron(koine480)and this is my first posting on this forum,or any forum for that matter. I am 62 yrs old, married 36 years,1 grown son (ssgt Air Force),and I live in Oklahoma.I look forward to getting to know all of you and sharing God"s word together. Thank you for inviting me in.
I have followed Ray's sight for about two years now after stumbling on to it during other studies. I was a long time member in the church of Christ but had many unanswered questions which led to even more questions and has eventually led me here. I feel very fortunate to be a participant here and look forward to chatting with you. God's grace and peace to you all.

Hi Ron,
I'm glad you have joined us :)
I hope you will join with the fellowship we have here, I too feel "very fortunate to be a participant here." We have people from all over the world and we are all very blessed to have this meeting place to share the Word.
If you are not familiar with the forum we have 3 main boards for posting, 'General' for discussions of BT topics and Scriptures. 'Off Topic' more of a fun board, but there is informative stuff too. 'Testimonies / Prayer Requests / Fellowship' this is where most of the personal stuff goes. And there is more to check out too, links below.

Hi Ron!
Welcome to the forum.
When you say, "Church In Christ," does the church has affiliation here in Philippines' IGLESIA NI KRISTO?
Regards,
Mike

Thanks to all for making me feel welcome. I really do appreciate your kindness, and thank you Kat for the extra info. It will help. Yes Mike the CofC is in P.I. but outside of knowing a few people who have been there doing missionary work I don't really know much about it.
I was listening to Ray's video on "Time and Eternity" and I heard him say," If the church teaches it, It is not true". (paraphrase) That is so funny, but a profound truth. Ray is a very gifted man. A warrior. I am so very sad he is ill. All of us must leave this world. How many of us will leave as precious a record of their love for God as Ray is leaving every day.I pray everyday for God's mercy and healing. I have seen how much Ray is loved by all the kind sentiments expressed here. A very lucky man indeed.

Oh yes! Ron I can tell you are from Oklahoma! Your quote from the Indian! I live in Alabama, but I was born in Oklahoma in Anadarko, the "Indian capitol of the nation" :D
I have relatives in Oklahoma, but they are growing fewer as the years pass!
My mother's great, great, great grandmother was a Shawnee or a Cherokee It has been so many years I can't remember which! I know my mom and dad said Shawnee, but my sister who is older than I contends it was Cherokee who knows?? Anyway! Welcome to the forum Okie!
I am an Okie, but for the majority of my life I lived as a desert rat in Arizona! ;)

Thanks Kathy,
Nice to know your "Red Earth People". We actually live about 40 miles from the town of Shawnee,OK.(Brad Pitts birthplace). It's a very nice city. I was born in California, but all my family and my wifes family are native "okies". i spent about 8 months in Casa Grande, AZ. Hottest place I have ever been or ever want to be. Broke 100F every day from July to Late october. I must say though, the desert has it's own beauty. It was fun to drive out into the desert sometimes and just listen to the silence. Anyway good to talk with you and I will again soon.
