Title: Rev 12:9
Post by: Roy Martin on February 28, 2010, 09:59:18 AM
Rev 12:9  and the great dragon was cast forth--the old serpent, who is called `Devil,' and `the Adversary,' who is leading astray the whole world--he was cast forth to the earth, and his messengers were cast forth with him.

(Leading astray the whole world.)

What is this saying? Who is the whole world?

Hi Roy,

Here is another verse that states the same thing.

1John 5:19  We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.

We have all been deceived, even the Apostles knew this.

Titus 3:3  For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another.

The whole world is everyone that lives on the earth, the same everyone/whole that will eventually will be saved.

1John 2:2  And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.

mercy, peace and love
