I would appreciate it very much if you would offer a pray for my mother (she is 75). She was taken to the hospital a week and a half ago for breathing problems and admitted to the ICU with sever pneumonia. They put her on a ventilator and after several days she was put to sleep, as she was becoming combative because of the tube, so that was over a week ago. Her doctors are saying she is serious, but doing okay. She has developed a bleeding vein in her lung, that they think should heal soon. Every time they say they are going to wake her up, they then decide to wait a few more days, so she has been kept asleep for over a week.
I know the "fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much," so thank you all in advance for your love, consideration and prayers.
mercy, peace and love

That can not be easy on you. I think you are suffering more than your Mother who is not aware of her suffering whilst asleep, I believe.
Blessings to you both and those in your family who care, and are hurting right now.
I have offered my prayers.

Kat, of course your mother will be in my prayers too. It is so heartbreaking to see our loved ones suffer.
Kat has given me permision to share her thread with my sister Nancy. Please pray for my beautiful younger sister, who is having surgery early this afternoon. Her cancer has metastized to the brain where they will be taking a peek and biopsy of the deeply inbedded inoperable tumor. In a month's time she has become a shell of herself, and partially paralyzed. She is the backbone and strength of our huge family. She was reading some of Ray's studies yesterday. Praise God.
I pray His Will be done.
Thank you and blessings
My Prayers go out to Janine's Sister and Kat's Mother, sorry to hear about these Bad health problems and pray that Our Loving God Emotionally helps both of you cope with their illnesses.
Kind Regards, Samson.

I want to thank all of you for your prayers. I do believe that it has strengthen me.
Yes Arc, it does comfort me to know that she is not suffering since they have her asleep. But her condition is not improving, as they have revealed they really don't know the problem. All of their testing has not uncovered the cause. They are only giving her a 50% chance of recovery at this point.
It seems odd that I feel calm with my Mother in such a dire situation, I contribute it to your prayers.
Janine, that is so sad about your sister. Surely you will have my prayers for your family.

To both of my dear sisters, I will be praying. Such difficult times. :'(
-
Dear sister Janine
I know from experience, that God performs some of His most intricate and deep work in us, via our loved ones. :'(
The sacrifice of pain and debilitation that is given to our loved ones to endure, forms a threshold of the Spirit of God working in US to bring to US His most precious, deep and enduring Gifts of His Spirit. No suffering is in vain.
As with Kathy, I feel too, that the Lord is adding to you more gifts of His Spirit, while holding in His care over your sister, within His Mercy and Peace.
I have included you in prayers, and all your loved ones, within the circle of circumstance that revolves around your dear young sister.

I would like to add my condolences, Kat,about the loss of your mother,
-
Thank you all for your kind words and prayers, it means a lot to me. Actually I have been very blessed, as this is the first family member I have lose that I was very close to at the time of their death. I had been quite concerned that I would not handle this situation well at all, as I tend to be a very emotional person. I am a big baby at movies, even when someone acts like they are sad and upset, I get upset too. But God has certainly answered these prayers, because I feel very strong and calm in the face of such a tremendous lose.
Now if I can just stay strong to face all of the family and friends tomorrow at the funeral. I'm sure He will get me through it just fine.
mercy, peace and love

I was actually praying that your mother's condition be healed and that the next breath God breathed into her would be the sweetest she's ever known.
I just read the update that she had passed. However, I hope that prayer is still answered.
God bless you

Dear Kat,
So sorry to hear of your moms passing. It's a blessing that she passed peacefullly.
May God give peace to you and your family in the coming days as you look forward to the day our Lord calls your mom and she hears His voice.
When I think of my mom now, even though it's been 15 years since she died, I still miss her. But it gives me comfort to think of her as not gone forever, but only sleeping for a time - God's time. She is in His merciful hands, as is your mother.

Dearest Kat,

I have returned home, as I had to travel to the funeral. All of your prayers have blessed me greatly! It is indeed a sad thing to go to my Mom's funeral. She brought me into this world, now to say good bye as she has left this world. But I can say for sure that God gave me a great sense of comfort and peace in the face of this terrible lose. And I most certainly do have many wonderful memories that I will cherish, Bob.
My Mom was always a peace maker, yet there has been a terrible rift in our family for many years. It appears now that by losing her, we were brought together and this split will be healed. A final poignant gift from her.

Hi Kat,
As I was reading what you wrote I was reminded of when my mom died..she was 55 years old..She was diabetic and was nearly blind..but she was a peacemaker, too! The day she died and this has been 34 years, but I remember it as if it were yesterday..she had slipped into a coma...I went to the little chapel in the hospital and sat there and said this prayer..."Lord, if you are willing to heal my mother and restore her completely to health, then please do that..If not then please just let her go to her rest." As I got back to her room, I was told that she was gone...I was so at peace I knew...and this was long before Bible Truths...I had prayed for and accepted God's will! I have missed her like crazy over the past 34 years, but I know that God was and is in control of everything...
I wish for you and your family, Kat...the peace for your mother that I have for mine..A memory of a sweet and peaceful passing of a sweet and peaceful lady..
Prayers,
Kathy :-*
