Title: Psalm 100
Post by: tamaralv on November 25, 2010, 03:52:57 PM
 A Psalm of Thanksgiving. Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands!
Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing.
Know that the Lord, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
For the Lord is good;
His mercy is age-during,
And His truth endures to all generations.

Love to you all!
Tammy

I'm so happy this word touched you both! I wasn't sure where to put this, so I'm glad someone saw it!  ;) I just thought this is a beautiful Psalm! I'm reading it tonight as we sit down to eat together and wanted to share with my BT's family as well. You are all constantly in my thoughts and prayers, even if I don't post often to tell you. My best to all!

My six year old granddaughter has memorized Psalm 100 last year and still recites it.

This is one of the scriptures christianity uses to push attendance at church, along with "not forsaking the assembling..."

Gina, it is indeed :)

@OneLove,
I don't see that in this scripture at all. After your comment I reread Psalm 100, but all I see is the Love and Sovereignty of our Father. I don't doubt what you say, it just wasn't presented that way in our church...that I'm aware of anyway. I guess I have to be thankful for that! It's a beautiful Psalm and I wouldn't want anything to cloud the message it contains. Aren't you happy God dragged us here to uncloud our thinking?! All thanksgiving and praise for that one gift alone, will never be enough, even though I do it for the remainder of my life. :)

"Enter into his gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise!"  \o/

This is not a call to go to church...this is a call to enter into His presence with thanksgiving and praise... be thankful unto Him and bless His name.. This is an act between YOU and GOD!! This is what happens in us when we understand how much He loves us!! When we begin to understand His amazing love for us we can't help but being thankful in His presence!!

Thank you, Tammy!! :)
Kathy ;)

Indeed! "Christianity" had us fooled for so long. Thank God for opening our eyes!
