Since the christmas holiday is right around the corner I feel this song extremely appropriate for the times! A beautiful song, heart wrenching, uplifting and filled with truth all at the same time. My heart aches with the truth that hate and suffering that fill this world trully do moch such a song but then my heart is filled with joy and hope because I know God does not sleep and I do hear these bells ringing! Our Father is Mighty and we know the work He is doing and that He shall one day whipe every tear away from ALL men!

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play
And mild and sweet their songs repeat
Of peace on earth good will to men
And the bells are ringing
Like a choir they're singing
In my heart I hear them
Peace on earth, good will to men
And in despair I bowed my head
There is no peace on earth I said
For hate is strong and mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good will to men
But the bells are ringing
Like a choir singing
Does anybody hear them?
Peace on earth, good will to men
Then rang the bells more loud and deep
God is not dead, nor doth He sleep
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail
With peace on earth, good will to men
Then ringing singing on its way
The world revolved from night to day
A voice, a chime, a chant sublime
Of peace on earth, good will to men
And the bells they're ringing
Like a choir they're singing
And with our hearts we'll hear them
Peace on earth, good will to men
Do you hear the bells they're ringing?
The life the angels singing
Open up your heart and hear them
Peace on earth, good will to men
Peace on earth, Peace on earth
Peace on earth, Good will to men
God bless,
Alex

Alex, I don't know if you know, but this is an adaptation of a very old hymn!
The poem was written in 1863 by Longfellow..It is beautiful without any music at all...I have always loved this I haven't heard it before by Casting Crowns..but their version is very touching! I love it!!
These words are as true today as they were in the 1800's!
" In despair I bowed my head, there is no peace on earth, I said
for hate is strong and mocks the song of Peace On Earth, Good Will to Men! "
We can all identify with those words and finding inner peace by knowing that God rules over your mind and heart dispels the darkness!!
Thanks for posting that, little brother!!
