I had been talking to Ray in emails this week and in the one today he told me this.
I fell this morning on my ribs and it feels like they may be broken. I heard and felt
several loud cracks like branches when they brake. I have been sitting
in one spit for the past four hours. It pain has gone from a ten to about a
seven. Maybe pray for me. I was trying to take my lawn trimming to the
front for pickup before the truck came, and I shouldn't have. I really fell
very hard right on my side ribs.
This is such a terrible thing for him to have to deal with on top of everything else, he will need all our prayer.

Broken ribs stink! I hope he gets an x-ray; not much can be done for the ribs themselves, just to make sure no other complications arise!

I am praying for ray delandus

Well Ray's hospice nurse came over and does not think he broke the ribs. But he is having spasms that are very painful.

the amazing grace of our Father God causing no broken ribs, with a man who's bones are so frail from the effects of cancer throughout his body. through prayer we can lift ray up to our Creator, asking for His grace and strength to hold ray up, causing him to endure, and continue the study which the Holy Spirit has given him; regarding who God is.
in Christ,

Sorry to hear about Ray's recent fall, but glad that His Ribs are probably not broken. Would have responded to this News sooner, but was having problems with My computer. I remember playing Catcher in 8th Grade and this Guy on the opposing Team was running Home from Third Base and the Throw Home was wide to My right and while trying to catch this errant throw, the Guy running Home did a Knee slide right into My Ribs. I don't know if they were fractured, because I was never checked, but I was extremely sore for a couple of weeks and because My Ribs hurt so much, I had to Bat Lefthanded for a few Games. Don't know why My Dad never had Me checked, but I learned from this experience that the Ribs can be hit pretty hard and still not be broken or fractured, but there's still lots of pain.
Ray already has brittle Bones from His Cancer, so it would be good if they weren't broken, hopefully not anyway. Praying for His speedy recovery from all His physical suffering.

Praying for you ray!!! Please let ray know we are all praying for him!!!

I will make my request to our Father, knowing what ever happens is His will! I have never met you Ray but feel as close as kin! If God takes you to the next stage before we meet just know you have left your mark on my life! If we don't meet in this age, I look forward to seeing you in the next! No dought in my mind you will be one of the few seated with Christ at His coming! I love you and God bless you!

Hope Ray's pains are easing and that he's feeling a bit better as the days go by. May God bless him and hisfamily and hear our prayers for his being more comfortable in his present trials.

He's doing better. It takes about 30 days for fractured ribs to heal.

Here you are, Gena!
Ray wrote: I have been working overtime on a paper for the past couple of weeks which I will entitle: "Why Does God Love You?" Look for it hopefully before Christmas.
