Lyrics:
Up on the hill
People never stare
They just don't care
Chinese music under banyan trees
Here at the dude ranch above the sea
Aja, When all my dime dancin' is through
I run to you
Up on the hill
They've got time to burn
There's no return
Double helix in the sky tonight
Throw out the hardware
Let's do it right
Aja, When all my dime dancin' is through
I run to you
Up on the hill
They think I'm okay
Or so they say
Chinese music always sets me free
Angular banjoes
Sound good to me
Aja, When all my dime dancin' is through
I run to you

Gina,
Once again, you brought back some memories for me! Back in the early 80's, a friend introduced me to Steely Dan's music as we we driving through the mountains in Virginia, it was a beautiful combination. 8)

Yes! :)
I was raised on Steely Dan. There's so much symbolism in their music and the instrumentals are so simpatico!
There's a beautiful young black girl at my credit union whose name is Aja. I told her one day that I love her name. And to my amazement, she knew where her name came from (Steely Dan, hehe, I kid) and what it meant (it basically means Jehovah).
I love Steely Dan.
