Title: Ressurection
Post by: Craig on July 23, 2006, 10:27:47 AM
    Hi Ray,
In 1 Cor. 15:22 we read--"For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. Thus a clear declaration that everyone will resurrect. Then he continues to declare in v. 23 "But every man in his own order: ( so there is a sequentual order) Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming". I wonder why he failed to give the order of those not in Christ? Am I overlooking something?

    Dear Mel:
He did. You missed it, however, the King James translations is no particular help. Let's read from another version:  "Yet each in his own class:  [1] the Firstfuit,Christ; [2] there upon those who are Christ's in His presence; [3] thereafter the consummation" (I Cor. 15:22, Concordant Literal New Testament).  The "putting down of His enemies" in verse 25 is the process by which "all shall be made alive IN Christ."
    God be with you,
    Ray
