Title: five minutes
Post by: John9362 on August 14, 2014, 10:14:54 PM
Did you realise that a woman's "I'll be ready in five minutes" and a man's "I'll be home in five minutes" are exactly the same?

 ;D ;D ;D :)

Early in our child rearing years (4 kids) I made the stipulation as head of the wife, that we should all plan to be at the dinner table on time. Then for the next many years I had to work out how to be the best example I could be.
That is what is called "putting the horse before the cart" or "getting it done" with no excuses.
I will have to add that is was quite a few years before our "kids" learned that I was the head of their mother... (smile)   ;D

Seriously, from scripture, there is an admonition to delegate authority to proper subordinates. e.g. the way Moses' father-in-law instructed him during the Exodus.
So isn't the family structure an example of God's government in action?
