Duck or Chicken? Chicken Surprise
Alice and Emile went for a meal at a Chinese restaurant and they order the 'Chicken Surprise.' The waiter brings the meal, served in a lidded cast iron pot. Just as Alice is about to serve herself, the lid of the pot rises slightly and she briefly sees two beady little eyes looking around before the lid slams back down.
'Good grief, did you see that?' she asks her husband, Emile. He hasn't, so she asks him to look in the pot. Emile reaches for it and again the lid rises, and he sees two little eyes looking around before it slams down. Rather perturbed, he calls the waiter over, explains what is happening, and demands an explanation.
'Please sir,' stammers the waiter, 'what you order?'
Emile replies, 'Chicken Surprise.'
'Ah! So sorry, is mistake' says the attendant, 'I bring you Peeking Duck!'

Some have said that the test of a "man" is what it takes to make him really angry.
In other words, how mature and loving is our internal anger management.
Of course that leads to asking whether a "man" is able to laugh at himself as easily as he can laugh at funny stories about other people.
When I was in the military it was common for the older guys to test the recruits by ganging up on them verbally in the barrack to see how much they could take without reacting in anger. If they reacted well the teasing was short lived and true camaraderie was soon established.
Of course I know that women/girls don't participate is such childish conduct, but I think that women can understand why the boys do it. ::)
I am finding that as I age I am empathizing more easily with the situations that others get themselves into. When I see on TV a person falling on the ice or watching their own car slide down hill sideways, I find my self taking concern for them as much as I used to laugh at their plight.
Our God is deadly serious about some types of personal conduct in His children, but God also has an active sense of humor. Everything in balance and for the better eventual result.
