Title: The battle and patience of photons
Post by: cheekie3 on October 20, 2014, 06:52:51 AM
All -

I was amazing to learn that it takes at least millions of years for photons to battle through the internal layers of our Sun before taking just over 8 minutes to reach the Earth together with trillions of other photons.

What a battle and what patience each photon must have.

George.

Very interesting George, and it's a good thing too, otherwise we wouldn't have food to eat. Light is the source of life physically and spiritual light imparts spiritual life. Wow!

Photosynthesis is a process used by plants and other organisms to convert light energy, normally from the Sun, into chemical energy that can be later released to fuel the organisms' activities. This chemical energy is stored in carbohydrate molecules, such as sugars, which are synthesized from carbon dioxide and water – hence the name photosynthesis, from the Greek φῶς, phōs, "light", and σύνθεσις, synthesis, "putting together".[1][2][3]
In most cases, oxygen is also released as a waste product. Most plants, most algae, and cyanobacteria perform photosynthesis, and such organisms are called photoautotrophs. Photosynthesis maintains atmospheric oxygen levels and supplies all of the organic compounds and most of the energy necessary for life on Earth...

Indiana  Bob -

Amazing and fascinating.

I also see the vastness, greatness and extreme patience of Our God and Our Saviour.

Thank you.

George.
