Title: Hiking in the Southwest
Post by: Extol on January 14, 2016, 11:19:26 AM
Hi!

I plan to travel to Arizona (Phoenix area) for business the weekends of Feb 6-7 and Feb 13-15. During the week (Feb. 8-12) I don't have any plans, and would like to see some of the surrounding country. Does anyone here live in Arizona/Utah/New Mexico/Nevada and would like to join me? I don't have any specific plans, but would like to visit some great hiking places--perhaps Grand Canyon, Zion National Park, Bryce National Park, etc.

Been there many times but never this time of the year. Very cold. Not sure you want to hike.

Oh yes, I remember Ray mentioned you would go out west are do some stargazing with your "dynamite binoculars".  8)

You're right, I should have said weather-permitting I would like to see some of the national parks. Last year it was too icy in G. Canyon for me to visit;  I may have to stick to the lower lands again.
