to accept the things I cannot change;
the courage to change the things I can;
and the wisdom to know the difference

I'm guessing you meant best "prayer"?  That's not scripture, but it's a often used prayer, especially promoted by AA.   ;)

Hey Rick,
 If those sentiments help you then they help you and I'm glad you're helped.
 It's not scripture though. It's a prayer written by a theologian. For me the issue with it is that I cannot change anything. But, I do understand that God gives me things to walk through and to experience and I am accountable to Him for what I do with the life He has given me.
 I think this was written by a free-willer and after all this time, it's just not something that helps me. Maybe some of us should rewrite it for those of like mind.
 I hope I'm not stepping on your toes Rick because I don't want to.

Yes I mean prayer not scripture I'll go back and change the tread title. Being human is not always being perfect..

Hi John,

Maybe but it does display the sovereigty of God to me , as the writer understands he / she is not in control . I think it's a pretty cool prayer to me. I saw it on a poster and said God that's cool.

Anyways that's just me.
