My name is Richard Whittemore . I'm sixty six and live in Tweed Heads, NSW , Australia. Retired Qantas LAME ( aircraft engineer) . Married with three children . I was given faith around fourty five years ago. After about twenty years in Christianity , I started questioning topics like death . Finding no answers that sat right , started searching . Found answers that did make sense from A.E. Knoch . Next big question was "free will" . L Ray Smith provided what I needed and also made sense . Anyhow ,thanks for accepting me to this forum . I'm still searching

Good Day Richard and welcome,
I too have found much help with A.E. Knoch, especially with the letters of Paul.
Formerly with the Armstrong fellowship until 1999, then followed Ray after he left that group.
Love to explore any area of interest you may have.
Warm regards from Plymouth, Indiana USA

Hello again to all . I am interested in exploring some subjects that seem to be firmly established in many groups but to me are questionable . I certainly question many of these ideas. I found that L Ray Smith was questioning these teachings and what he said made more sense to me than the established teachings. So I am very interested in learning more. I don't want to start or participate in arguments for example. I realise that most people don't think the same and that is all good. I believe that Scripture is often not explored enough and man thinking can cause wrong teaching and ideas. For example I believe there is no conflict between science and religion . The conflict is caused when minds are closed and not willing to consider topics from a new angle or consider new ideas. Just to bring out one of these topics...... I don't believe the Adam of roughly 6000 years ago was the first human on earth .

Hi, Richard. One of the scriptural reasons given to 'study' is to see "if these things be true". This assumes, of course, that one has encountered one of "these things". I've come to see that it is a rare occasion when someone says "the Bible says" that that statement is followed by something that the Bible actually says. At best, it's followed by a statement of what somebody thinks the bible says. At worst, it's worse.
Welcome again.
