Hello Brothers and Sister in Christ!!!
Please pray for my brother David. He has been esperiencing a lot of pain in his legs for the past few weeks, and now he's experiencing pain in his upper left arm. It is also hard for him to sit up, get off the couch, get around, etc. I honestly feel as if I'm losing David.
I would like to see him healed if that is God's will.

He'd go see a doctor if he could, but he's in so much pain, it's hard for him to get up from the couch.
David and I (and doctors) don't even know what's causing the pain. It would be nice to know though.

Hello Ruth,
I'm not a Dr., but I was a paramedic and nurse technician and it sounds to me as if he maybe experiencing blocked arteries or a number of other medical problems. I recommend that you call 911 and get him an ambulance; they will move and transport him to where he doesn't have to put forth much effort; plus they can run some tests on him; definately get a second opinion here. I would not wait at this point! I am praying Gods' will for him and Shalom to you both!

I would do what you suggest, but when my brother is in the hospital, his legs get weaker when he is given IVs.

I am praying for you and your brother. I hope all goes well. If it gets too bad you need to call 911. I am a pre-med major at TTU and it sounds like what Susan says.

How is he doing today? I'm sorry, I'm not understanding what you mean when you say that 'when an IV is given to him, that it negatively effects his legs' strength'... (does he have Phlebitis/diabetes/heartdisease?), since I don't know your bro's exact age and H&P (History and Physical) then it would be unsafe for me to assume what is going on w/ him. But, I can't imagine an IV of normal saline(sterile water) hindering his legs. If you won't take him to get a second opinion then I suggest that you call one a Pharmacist as well as one of your local Natural/Alternative Health Markets and discuss with one of the managers exactly what is happening and see if they can help. I will be praying thatTHE GREAT PHYSICIAN will heal your brother if that is HIS will. (You are a caring sister; he's blessed to have you...)

This is an update on my brother David.
I took him to the hospital yesterday (12/15/06). They took x-rays (I didn't like what I saw) and gave him a CT scan. I went to see him this afternoon for a little bit. Shortly before I left, he was taken to get an MRI.
On the x-rays taken yesterday, I saw a little cluster of holes in the right pelvic bone and a line of great big holes going down the middle of the left pelvic bone.
So I will wait to hear what the MRI shows.

Am am so glad to see that you were caused to take affirmative action Ruth.
It was wonderful that you recieved encouragement, inspiration and council to get your brother into Hospital.

No news yet as to the cause of David's pain. I'll be seeing him tomorrow (12/21/06), so I will let everyone know if there's any good news.

Well I have some news for everyone!!
I got to David's hospital room just in time to briefly talk with the nurse. She said that there is a build up of fluid on David's left hip and that they will try to remove some of the fluid. In order for me to know more, I'd have to talk to the doctor.
Other than that, he's doing ok. He's also eating somewhat.

It appears as though your brother is in good hands and is recieving proper medical care and attention and can only improove now. I am glad he is eating albeit 'somewhat'. Good nutrition is important to physcial strenght as is good nutrition to the soul through bible truths and Gods word grace mercy and unmeritted favour. :D
I pray that Jesus keep His healing presence and companionship strong with you thorugh this ordeal and lead you out of it safely to a happy conclusion.

Baruch Hashem (praise God) that David is at least comfortable. We are here for when you get word from his Doctor as to what is going on with him. Whatever it is; just know that God will not give him more than he can bare; although it may feel that way. Please encourage him by telling him that he has a support group that he doesn't even know and that we are in prayer for him and prayying for a complete healing if it is God's will!

I went and briefly saw David this afternoon. He is doing a little better. He told me that the doctor wants him to eventually get up and start walking around getting some exercise.
So that is the latest update.

Well, David is out of the hospital and in a nursing home. Turns out that he has infections ravaging his body (one which has been the cause of David's pain). His nurse told me today that David is on the best medicines he can be on, and they're (the meds) aren't working. David has not been able to keep anything down, and is only slowly starting to. His nurse has seen lots of patients in David's condition and says that David does not have that much longer to live. It could be five days, a month and a half, he doesn't know.
David is at the end stage of AIDS (wasting syndrome). The nurse has not seen and does not know of anyone recovdring from something like this.
