Is contentment a thing, a place, an idea?
Complacency's best at yet another whim.
Why does it call out loudly and sound?
Should all of us bow to society's grin?
I have things in mind, only a second.
these things hold tight to me, unloosened.
without these things, I'm nothing more
than a leaf in the wind, dry and unfashioned.
There's a place in mind, only a minute.
It's lost in time and nothing is here.
Without this place, I'm no where around.
But I will keep present, without fear.
An Idea's in mind, only a day.
Caught wind of intentions and crept on through.
without my ideas, my time was wasted
and all of my thoughts scattered and flew.
Now I'm content with all that I have,
all that I am, and all that I know.
But without what I said, where would I go,
What would I do, and who would I show?
