Ray,
I think I've come to the conclusion that most Christians are just silly
people who do what they are told by their so called "Leaders". They
don't really check anything or question anything. They just do whatever
they're told - so desperate to be led or worse, to aimlessly lead in
search of power, fame, and recognition.
I've agonized for years now about what I've taken from the teaching on
your website, and what to do with it. It was 2 & 1/2 years ago that I
happened upon your website - though I agree that nothing just happens.
I couldn't believe that this theologically uneducated guy who really
overuses underlines, exclamation points, and all caps could actually
have answers to questions that "theological giants" have not been able
to ask.
If anything, I've learned that even the good pastors - the ones who
don't live high on the church's dole - don't really have any good answ ers to most of the tough questions and mostly download their sermons
from the internet. I am unimpressed and even downright suspicious of
any Christian leader period.
So I want to thank you - or I guess God really - for opening my eyes to
this teaching about universal reconciliation (and death, and tithing,
God's sovereignty, etc.). It has been hard on my faith, as I like the
other sheep desire a human shepherd to tell me what's what, but there is
something freeing about seeing the proverbial tables turned over.
I'm still not sure about all your teaching or all your answers. But I
do believe that God and His Son are in charge and that there are deeper
answers out there than the shallow, limiting teachings of the
institutional churches.
Thanks,
Bill
