Hi everybody,
I used to be on the Forum as Java Joe, now I'm Little Joe - my nickname back from my college days. I'm really sorry I left the forum in the first place. Even though I left, I was still drawn back to Ray's teachings and the forum - so I was spying on y'all! :)
I am in the process of leaving Babylon, but it is painful. My church is starting to use prosperity cult tactics to draw in money, so it seems to be one guilt trip after another. I tell ya, churchian Christianity is messed up. Someone recently posted a reference to a Bill Wiese who claimed he saw hell, the website gave an absolute horrendous story. I was appalled that no one in Christendom refuted his claims, only this forum and nonbelievers. That really spoke volumes to me, and helped me make the decision to leave Babylon - so thanks to whoever posted that. Also Ray's January Bible study helped me out, too.
I could go on and on, but I need to not look back, not judge, not be bitter. I still have problems, so pray for me. But I know I'll get encouraged here.
ciao, and God Bless everyone!

Wellcome back. Just kick the dirt off of your feet on your way out of Babylon. Don't feel compelled to hit anybody with the door though. I do wish that I had the history of belonging to the world church system. Iv'e often thought about joining a church just so that I could come out of it. However, I have learned too much to sit through such spiritually dead swill. Anyway, good luck in your departure.

Welcome Little Joe-always nice to see people departing from their churches and false doctrines.

Hi Little Joe,
I'm glad you have rejoined us :)
This life is a learning experience and now maybe you know all you need to about the church.
I think you know that the fellowship here can be a great comfort. So jump back in. We all need each other in this journey.
mercy, peace and love

Am so glad to see you back!
WELCOME!
The Truth in Ray's teachings are wonderful.
It has been painful to come out of Babylon for me and part of this pain served to cause me to recognise and appreciate that it is God Himself who drags us! Once even a little bit of being dragged occurs, it is such a relief to be in the opposite direcetion as we are drawn by God to come to the Truth!
Peace be to you

Thanks, Bro Joe! I missed you all too. I'm trying not to associate myself with coffee anymore, I am trying to cut back! I am also on a "diet", so the "Little Joe" is "stepping out in faith". ;D

I still like coffee, but have cut back! (and I am still Java Joe at heart!)

Welcome back Joe,
I would suggest you do as I have, and put the emphasis on shedding ego. When you do that, the cravings (for coffee, sweets, and food etc) seem to go away. ;)

Welcome Little Java Joe! sitting here enjoying my 2nd mug of coffee and wondering if Ches will elaborate on the diet tricks. I've love 30+ pounds this year and still have about 20 to go to goal. The older you get the more time it takes to "shed the flesh". I think there's a spiritual lesson to be learned:)
Rest in the Lord,
Barbara
