Thanks, Dennis.
At a transfer rate of 3 KB/sec, maybe I'll get to watch this tonight. The download window states 10 hrs to download. ???
-
I had another version that was 70 meg (this one is 100 meg) but the quality was very poor.
Video sucks up a lot of bytes.
-
WooHoo, 3.89KB/Sec and 50% complete. ;D
Estimated 4hrs 50 minutes left.
Dial-up requires lots of patience. :-X
-
Hey Dennis...that was really good!
Do youk have anymore videos?

If you'd quit burning up bandwidth posting on the forum, you'd be done by now ;D

Iris
No more, but I'm planning on recording the next bible study and the conference.
-
Thank you! Since I can't go to the conference, watching videos of all the
talks would be great. :o
-
Thanks Dennis
that's great. I did have a problem viewing it using Mozilla but it works fine on IE.

Amen, Patrick. It helps keep us from sinning sometimes too. :D
Requires less patience dl'ed overnight, so that's my plan. Thanks, all.

I uploaded the video to Google:

Thanks again Dennis for making it available for us in video format. It's more interesting if you both see and hear the speaker.
Your time and hard work is much appreciated.
God bless,
Joy ;D

Hi Dennis,
Is there any way you can send me an MPEG or QuickTime of the video? I can then convert them into a Flash movie (SWF). This will shrink them down by a ton.
Let me know.

I very new to video editing and have a lot to learn.
I used Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9.0 to render the wmv from the original HD m2ts format. But Vegas will not render to swv. I'll look for a plug-in if it turns out swv is the best all around format.
I also have Camtasia Studio 5 which makes Flash movies. I was able to import the wmv into Camtasia and render a swv.
Here it is: http://bible-truths.com/video/freewill.swf (http://bible-truths.com/video/freewill.swf)
It seems jerky at a frame rate of 3 and the file size is 200 meg which is twice the size of the wmv file. But I guess the advantage of swv is it streams? Maybe you can offer some suggestions on swf production settings Jeremy.
All this is practice for the conference next month.
Thanks,
Dennis

Hi Dennis,
Thank you for making this video available. How about trying some of the open source codecs?
Here is a list of them.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_source_codecs
Another idea...
If you have a Mac, or access to one, you could try this program - I'm willing to buy it, as I have a Mac - I could encode the movie also. If you need my help in any way, don't hesitate to message me.

God bless you,
Eirik
PS. Yes, Flash video will stream, but there should be a way to get more than 3 fr/sec...

Hey Dennis,
I'm not an expert in video either but I have done a couple projects with converting large video into very small SWF/FLV exports that worked out great.
Could you send me an AVI or MPEG4 or QT of the video? If so, I'll convert it to a streamable FLV. I'll upload a sample FLV/SWF for ya on my end. It will be a heck of a lot smaller and it will stream.
If you could do that, maybe put it on your server and send me the link to jerreye@yahoo.com
-
Anyone should be able to download the file from the link shouldn't they?
Right click on the link and save. Or am I missing something?

Sorry, I just cannot turn lose of the computer time. It takes hours to render and uses 98 to 100% of the CPU, so I cannot do anything else while it's rendering.
I know the QT mov file would end up in gig's not meg's.

Hi Craig,
They can download thw WMV format but that may not be the best format to edit or translate to other formats.

Hi Dennis,
Thank you so much for the time and good work in posting the video. I always wanted to watch Ray teaching.
Well done. I pray and hope that this year's conference be video recorded too. Please let us know if we can do anything to help even though we are far apart.
God Bless you brother.

For all you dial-up fans out there:
Alltel has a faster speed available through your cell phone/computer line at $25 per month. That is, if you are in a good service area and you have paid for the initial software and hook up apparatus at $69. We have been using it since the beginning of summer and it is much faster. I'd say some of the other cell phone providers have a similar contract. Check out the cell phone website to see if what is available in your area.
