Hi all,
I was just trying to search for forum comments related to Matt 19:26, but when I tried typing in Matt 19:26 into the forum search, it returns all these partial matches; "Matt", "19", and "26". So even if I try just typing in "19:26" or any other Chapter/verse, it will not find it, rather only find results matching "19" and "26". For some reason the ":" is ignored in the search. I was wondering if anybody knew if there was a way to get past this. Thanks.

I don't think there is a way. It seems all search engines ignore punctuation, even when you use quotes. This includes Google.

Hi Clarinetster,
I see this is your first post, welcome :)
Yes the search at the top of the boards will search each word so you really have to narrow it down to one or two main words.
But what I use alot is 'Google advanced search.'
http://www.google.com/advanced_search?hl=en
Use this box 'this exact wording or phrase' and it will search for that exact order of words only. Of course use 'Bible-Truths.com' for the box 'Search within a site or domain.'
You can also use 'Ctrl + f key' to search for a word on a page.
Hope this is helpful.
mercy, peace and love
