Greetings
« on: December 19, 2010, 04:23:27 PM »

Greetings to all,

I am pressed to join in the gratefulness of happening upon the BT website.  I was literally looking for a church to attend at the time.  Unlike most of you, I have never been a churchgoer. I've attended services maybe a dozen times in my life - and I'm over 50.  I had come to believe that I needed "the church" in my life.  Oh, how thankful I am that it was not in His Plan for me.

However, in the meantime (and I do mean the "mean" time), I feel like a blind man learning what a hole looks like.

I have spent this past year reading and will be rereading some of the material.  I do feel confirmed about my direction and pray for blessed results as I start this new journey in my life.  But, I must also admit that I feel absolutely clueless.  I know I need a course of study and I am very thankful to be able to be in the company of such special people.

Wishing Us All His Blessings,

IbTee

The Light of Christ shows us our spiritual condition. His Spirit heals, restores, liberates and repents us of our attachments to false understanding.

Welcome to the Forum IbTee. :)

Hi IbTee,

I'm glad you have joined us  :)
Well I would actually recommend for you to do some reading in an easy to read version of the Bible or even an adult Bible story book, as you really need to get familiar with the Bible. Most of Ray's material is based on the reader having a fundimental understanding of the characters and stories in the Bible. But hey you don't have to unlearn all the manmade doctrines we pick up in the church. So don't feel get discouraged, it just a matter of getting the background info you need.

Welcome IbTee! How interesting God called you from such a different place than so many of us. I love diversity. You will have such a new and unique perspective! I look forward to hearing more from you.
Kat is right, you won't have to UNlearn as much as us for sure but you will need to get the basics.
What an exciting journey you have begun. You are blessed!

Thank you all for the welcome.

Arc, the Light of Christ will certainly show I need a deep cleaning.  And Kat, your recommendation will be a priority.

Again, thank you all.

Blessings,
IbTee
