Proverbs 10:2 Ill-gotten gains do not profit, but righteousness delivers from death.

1Timothy 6:4-11 He is conceited and understands nothing; but he has a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words, out of which arise envy, strife, abusive language, evil suspicions, and constant friction between men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. 6) but godliness is a means of great gain when accompanied by contentment. 7) For we brought nothing into the world, so we can not take anything out of it either.
If we have food and covering, with these we shall be content. 9) But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction. 10) For the love of money is A root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs 11) But flee from these things you man of God, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.
James 5:1-5 Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries which are coming upon you. 2) Your riches have rotted and your garments have become moth eaten. 3) Your gold and your silver have rusted, and their rust will be a witness against you and consume your flesh like fire. it is in the last days that you stored up your treasure 4) Behold the pay of the laborers who move your fields which have been withheld by you, cries out against you; and the outcry of those who did the harvesting has reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth. You have lived luxuriously on the earth and led a life of wanton pleasure, you have fattened your hearts in a day of slaughter.
1John3:17-18 But whoever has the world's goods, and sees his brother in need and closes and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him? 18) Little children, let us not love with word or tongue, but in deed and truth.
