Just a bit of sharing
NoviceBeliever:
MePogo: I am sending you and Wayne all my prayers that you will find strength and comfort.
What would you suffer if you where given a promise to have the most unfathomable gift from GOD? The love that HE has promised us is so beyond our understanding and grasp, it is all encompassing. HE has given us the most precious gift, of His son, to prove to us how very important and beloved we are. What we are experiencing while we are here are all the things that he needs us to for a greater purpose in His kingdom. But GOD would never make us experience these things alone. HE is always with us and always provides for us. HE helps us with the people he puts into our lives, whether it be a spouse, a dear friend, or even through a stranger, to support, comfort, care and edify us. HE is showing us the smallest glimpse of the love HE has for us through the love that is expressed by others. You and Wayne are very blessed to have each other. NB
(Heb 6:14 YLT) saying, `Blessing indeed I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee;'
(Heb 6:15 YLT) and so, having patiently endured, he did obtain the promise;
(Heb 6:16 YLT) for men indeed do swear by the greater, and an end of all controversy to them for confirmation is the oath,
(Heb 6:17 YLT) in which God, more abundantly willing to shew to the heirs of the promise the immutability of his counsel, did interpose by an oath,
(Heb 6:18 YLT) that through two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, a strong comfort we may have who did flee for refuge to lay hold on the hope set before us ,
(Heb 6:19 YLT) which we have, as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and entering into that within the vail,
(Heb 6:20 YLT) whither a forerunner for us did enter--Jesus, after the order of Melchisedek chief priest having become--to the age.

In case you've overlooked this. It's one of Ray's shorter articles and may be a comfort, if you agree.

This scripture came to mind in struggling to reply. Emphasis mine.
Heb 12:1-13 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted. In your struggle against sin you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. And have you forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons? "My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, nor be weary when reproved by him. For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives."
It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline? If you are left without discipline, in which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. Besides this, we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to the Father of spirits and live? For they disciplined us for a short time as it seemed best to them, but he disciplines us for our good, that we may share his holiness.
For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. (that will be everybody) Therefore lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but rather be healed.
Prayers for you and your Wayne. You are the light of the world. You are the salt of the earth. Mat 5:13-14

Hi Pogo,
I believe God gave me these verses for you and Wayne, but I don't know why:
Rev 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
Rev 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Rev 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
I'm praying that God will give both of you His strength to endure this difficult time.

Dear Pogo, I can only imagine what you are going through. I have never been married but I did lose a sister to lung cancer 5 years ago. I know this hard and pray the that the peace of God surround you both. Tell you husband how much Daddy God loves him. Let the light of Christ love shine brightly through you. Comfort your husband that death is sleep but he will never experience an unconscious moment. The next moment will be in Jesus loving presence. My sister never took any morphine for pain through out the whole time except when she was in a coma the last 5 hours of her life. My mom gave it to her. She was in so much pain but never let us know. The peace of God was with all of us and His love was there and will always be there for you both. I remember watching her get weaker every day. I know how your heart breaks as you do all you can to comfort him. Daddy God is there to strengthen you when you are weak. It is such a blessing you have each other. I will be praying for you and your family. I wish I had answers for your "whys". It is part of God's wonderful plan, we just can't see the big picture. But you know God and He is Love. You trust Him for He is Good! Love never fails. All is of God.
In His Love,
Bunni
