This was written by the daddy of 6 year old Angel Thompson who had the same tumor my little munchkin had...I don't know these people, but I know what they experienced...Angel's surgery was a lot more extensive than Grayson's was she is still in the hospital after her surgery on March 10th...Grayson was up and walking after 2 days and home on the 3rd day after surgery!

The Hand
The sights and sounds of the hospital
Alarms, monitors, and tubes
In the dark of the night
They impart fear and anxiety
In the Light of God
Hope and healing are revealed
A child lays in hurt
Feeling the pain of this world
Innocence taken in sickness
Healing given through grace and mercy
Peering into the innocent eyes of a child so hurt
Our hearts cry out in anguish
A child tells us not to cry
Yet we cry
Tears flow in sadness
Out of pain and fear
Tears stream in joy
Through hope and healing
As a child smiles so purely
A heart rejoices
The faith of one so small
Imparts faith on those scarred by the trials of this world
Enormous faith witnessed
A child speaks “Jesus will take care of me”
Little courage to face the day
Yet a child tells us “God is good all the time”
The small hand of a child held strongly by a parent
Who is stronger?
The hand of the weary held by the nail scarred hand of Jesus?
Who is in control?
Touch is upon the child who has faith
God is near
Life giving and life sustaining
The works of God whose hand holds his children.
