Hi Eileen,
1Co 15:51 Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
"We shall not all sleep," the sleep is not talking about the act of dying, but is death - the unseen - the grave. Here is something to consider, what do you think happen to the physical body when a person is "changed," and when "this mortal must put on immortality"? Well we will not continue to be hampered with this physical body, it just will not survive being changed into spirit. Of course it would not be your typical way to die and there would be no dead body left behind, as there was not when Christ was resurrected. But it would be the death of the physical as we know it, and there would be no "sleep," the change would happen "in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye."
1Cor 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
v. 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
mercy, peace and love
