New here

[santikos]

i currently go to a pentecostal church but i dont believe what they all believe. lets just say i am swimming against the current upstream. i still go because there are some honest men who really want to know God. no one really know exactly what i believe, i opt to maintain a low profile. i mentioned to my wife about the no hell belief and she quickly stated that i must be calling jesus a liar. i am still confused about the hell or no hell belief but i lean more toward a no hell belief. it is kind of difficult to be in a type of underground mentality. no one i know here in san antonio shares my belief. i really wnat to know if there is someone in this area who can get together with me and share some of Gods word. if there is not then i will make it with prayer. i am almost to the point where i dont want to go to church anymore. i am looking forward to learning more about the word of GOD.

Hi santikos,

I'm glad you have joined us
I will recommend that you begin to carefully read through the articles at Bible-truths.com at this link http://bible-truths.com/  There are many articles and it will take some time, but I feel this is the best way to gain a good understanding of how the church has corrupted the truth. There are only a few words, hell being a primary one, that total misrepresent what the original manuscripts say. Until your understanding is on a more solid foundation a low profile is a good idea, as discussing this with those that hold to the doctrines of the church will confuse you terribly.

Those of us here are studying and learning these truths together and it is a big help to have people of like mind to share these things with. But you really need to get a foundation of the truth from the articles to be able to relate to the discussions.

We have many boards here and even more articles in transcripts from Bible studies and conferences. So here are some links that you can look around at what we have here.

Hi santikos,

Welcome to the forum, sit back and read for a bit, some eye opening information available here.

george .

[Dave in Tenn]

Hi, Santikos.  I'd just echo what Kat and George have shared.  Take your time and read.

[FreedomInTruth]

Hi santikos, I'm new to the forum also.  Welcome!

[jingle52]

Hi Santikos,
Welcome, yes - the more you read, the more things will become clearer. It will take months and months of reading, there is so much to absorb. Just take the fine advice of Kat, George and Dave, you'll always want to read more and more like a man dying of thirst, drink in God's Truths.
God's Blessings.

My statement will be short - Our family are getting larger nad larger

Santikos, it's great that you are here and that you've become a part of this great family.

God, bless you brother

Welcome! I think you'll find most of us are in the same boat!

[arion]

Welcome!!

I highly recommend your going to the section of Ray's audios and download them for listening.  It was very helpful to me to put a voice and a demeanor with the teachings.   You will have need of really knowing why you believe what you believe and in the future being able to present it to others as God enables.  But for the time being you'll need to be firmly grounded and the audios will be a great benefit to you.  If you have not read the 23 minutes in hell paper I think I would start there and by the time you get through you will know scripturally beyond a shadow of a doubt that the 'christian' hell isn't real.  There is a fire that burns all right but it's spiritual....not literal.  God isn't running an eternal torture chamber that would make the worst despots in history look like saints in comparison.

[Linny]

I'll add that in addition to all the great articles, the emails on the main BT page are particularly enlightening to a newcomer and may cause you to have a better idea of what you need/want to read/study first.
Welcome.

[Stacey]

Hi Santikos, welcome to the BT Forum!

[mmijares]

Hi Santikos!

I hope you stay here in BT, read more and more, and continue your being "low profie" (which I think you meant you don't go telling your whole neighbor of what you believe in).  I do maintain also that "low profile".  I don't go debating my friends anymore.  I share the truths God gave me only if the timing is right and circumstance allow it.  And while waiting for that timing, I ask God to continue change me so by the time God will cause me to share His truth, His light in me radiates more effectively.  You can do that too!

[Samson]

Hi Santikos,

Welcome to the Forum ! A good article for you to read is Ray's Foundational Truths of the Scriptures. You can read the Transcript or listen to the Audio. Kat is right, it would be wise to keep a Low Profile at this initial stage. Although the Word Hell and it's derivatives(Hell-fire, unquenchable fire) are something to learn the correct understanding about, I'd like to suggest focusing on the Myth of Free Will Series and Is Everlasting Scriptural, because these two Heresies(Free Will & the word Forever, Everlasting & Eternal) are in my opinion the two greatest errors of all and lead to the error of Eternal Hell, Lake of Fire in all of Christendom's various forms( Eternal Separation, Annihilation & Eternal Torment).

Anyway, take your time and meditate on these explanations of Ray's and show your Wife the truth by your living example(conduct), first and foremost.

                                  Kind Regards, Samson.

[Ellie]

Great that you are here Santicos.........looks as though you have a lot of wonderful learning  to enjoy.
There are many here who are wonderfully helpful in your journey.   Peace Ellie

Hey Santicos,

Welcome to the forum.

Blessings,

[Felix]

Hi santicos,

Ray wrote something that changed my beliefs about God and hell. "God is Love" Do you really believe
that? Do you really believe that God is love? Gods Word is not a contradiction. If God is love He will
not torture most of humanity in literal fire forever.

Felix

Hi Santicos

Good to have you!

I'm new(er) to the forum as well. I came out from a version of the pentecostal religion, so I'm certain I can relate to your situation. And not just me, but it seems most here can relate in one way or another to your current experience.

As already advised, continue in your study of His amazing Word, read all of the papers on Bibletruths.com,  and pray for revelation of the Truth. It will come in His perfect time. Also, there are people hear that are full of Godly wisdom. If you have questions, ask them. They can provide an answer or quide you to one of Ray's papers, emails, or Bible studys about the topic. Whatever the case, good people are hear, use this forum!

[Phil3:10]

Hello Santicos,
Welcome to the truths of GOD. I became totally fed up with the Church System some five years ago and began the 100's of hours of search that led me to Bible-Truths.com. Spend as much time as possible in this forum and in the teachings of Ray Smith. Searching, reading and praying will lead you to the truths you so much want to find. Everyone who has responded has given you good information and their love and concern is genuine.
