Eileen , I  believe Ray WAS trying to console your grief and share in your burden, with words of empathy and kindness.

Death shall be destroyed in ALL its shapes, names and forms. That is the Truth, we can really trust in, for God's Will does infinitely BEYOND all our highest prayers or thoughts, as we share in one anothers burdens, sorrows and needs, as we so should.
