WHAT A CROCK ...
« on: June 29, 2012, 05:04:36 AM »

Wow 10 months ago I was bragging about MY FAITH how I had successfully prayed my wife out of being airlifted by helicopter from a motor vehicle accident, the remarkable recovery and subsequent healing, then I was bragging how with my faith I managed to bump into a senior pediatrician who instantly solved the problem with my 2nd eldest Joshua, who had a dose of tickbite fever,I then continued my bragging and spoke out that Ray would be healed and God doesn't lie, we can use his word and it works, I believed this above the will of God I believed in my arrogance that MY prayer and MY statement of faith would do the trick.

Oh Lord who was this that darkened your council - forgive me , I did not know what I was talking about...

You all keep quiet when you recognize pride - you do not judge but accept, knowing folks did not arrive @ BT by accident

Now I find myself writing this and thinking what a humble man I am, acknowledging this before good Godly folks.... never stops does it...

Dear Lord I pray your richest blessing on all who seek your Truth,in Jesus Name

Ian, before understanding what God's will is we all probably believed and treat him as a magic genie who grants wishes. Praying in the name of Jesus, that is to say his authority, for the sake of bringing glory to the father is something most do not understand. They just want stuff for themselves. When things happen we don't like it isn't God's will and shouldn't have happened, right? WRONG! Good and bad things are perceptions of our own carnal minds. Only when we step away from that carnal mind, through the grace of God, can we pray according to his will. Because we care about what he wants for us more than what we want for ourselves...not an easy thing at all but then again whoever said it was supposed to be. ;-)

Hi Ian,

Consider yourself blessed that you are beginning to see the "arrogant" spirit in your heart.  It is a step in the right direction, that only God can lead you to. :)

WOW!!!!  Isn't this all of us at one point in time?  Thankfully He is in the business of 'saving' us each and every day!!  Wonderful lessons to be learned here at BT!!!
