And the 'definition' from Strong's Dictionary:

H6083
עפר
‛âphâr
aw-fawr'
From H6080; dust (as powdered or gray); hence clay, earth, mud: - ashes, dust, earth, ground, morter, powder, rubbish.

Don't know if that's helpful, but it was easy.   ;D

--- End quote ---

Behold, I [am] according to thy wish in God's stead: I also am formed out of the clay. Job 33:6

Deborah-Leigh:

He spat on the ground and made CLAY with His saliva and he spread it on the man's eye's, like humanity burgeoning into 7 billion souls, all over the place, lol ~  :)

The Potters right, over the clay.  :)

Rhys 🕊:
From dust we came and will return.

Job 10:8  Your hands fashioned and made me, and now you have destroyed me altogether.
Job 10:9  Remember that you have made me like clay; and will you return me to the dust?
Job 10:10  Did you not pour me out like milk and curdle me like cheese?
Job 10:11  You clothed me with skin and flesh, and knit me together with bones and sinews.
Job 10:12  You have granted me life and steadfast love, and your care has preserved my spirit.

God knows we are but dust but makes us into something beautiful, our flesh is dust but our Spirit so much more

Psa 103:13  As a father shows compassion to his children, so the LORD shows compassion to those who fear him.
Psa 103:14  For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust.
Psa 103:15  As for man, his days are like grass; he flourishes like a flower of the field;

I feel that God takes us as dust and adds the water of His Spirit and know we are clay. He shapes each of us to what is His will. When our time is up in the flesh He destroys the clay and to dust we return.

Ecc 12:7  and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.

Now our Spirit returns to God, who we really are and what He made while we were in the flesh is now back in His hands until the time comes when He says awake.

Isa 26:19  Your dead shall live; their bodies shall rise. You who dwell in the dust, awake and sing for joy! For your dew is a dew of light, and the earth will give birth to the dead.

Maybe now we see what the Lord has done, though now it's hard to see. All this dirt tends to cloud one's sight, mud in the eye as it were.

1Co 13:12  For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.

I guess I could of just said dust - clay - dust - something beyond comprehension

Rhys
