As Ray has mentioned. God does know...
As for us we are a work in progress. One day you could be sure God is working in you...another day you could believe you just aren't ready yet.
It is our struggles and doubts that get us there.
A well adjusted person learns and improves through struggles and a true believer, BELIEVES when there is a possibility of doubt.
I work towards a goal and that's all I think about...not the reward.
i.e. Instead of focusing on whether you are God's elect work on being God's elect and that should take care of itself.
