An opposing Spirit.

I've had conflict with neighbors on many occasions. It sucks. I've gone to bed with the conflict on my mind and woken up with it on my mind.. To the point of losing sleep and waking up with a knot in my stomach. I've almost come to blows with a neighbor a time or two. Maybe the knot in my stomach was due to being ashamed or embarrassed at my own anger and overall attitude more so than anything that my neighbors ever did... Maybe not.

There's no price I can put on being at peace with my neighbors. I've found that being at peace with my neighbors has always depended upon my own attitude however. I can choose to be offended and angry and I can justify my feelings all I want. Or I can ignore and/or forgive my neighbors (as instructed to do so by Christ), put down my pride and ego and keep peace.

Romans 13:3  Rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil.  Do you want to be unafraid of the authority?  Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same.
Romans 13:4  For he is God's minister to you for good.  But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain: for he is God's minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.

I've been guilty, especially in my younger days of wanting to call the fire of God down on those that I perceived as my enemies.
God has helped me in my later years to see, and a lot of it has came through Ray's teaching, that such an attitude is not what the Lord Jesus himself taught.
Scripture;
Luke 6:27- But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you.
28- Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

Other verses in this same chapter may also be helpful.

Dave, I didn't say I saw his spirit in others, I said that I have seen the kind of spirit he has and it is a Anti Christ, opposing, sowing discord spirit. I fully understand what we must fight against in this world, John said there are many antichrists.
2 John 1:7 - For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist

Well, I may not know weather he has seen a Christian in his life, but I have set a good example on not repaying him evil for evil, as i know not to do and have prayed for him many times.
