Joy from the world vs Joy from the Spirit of Jesus

dennis,

my intent in the use of the word allow is not to say that we choose to do this or that.  i have for decades believed and told those around me, that God is The cause of all things.  when i say that He has allowed us to do a thing, i mean it in the same sense that He allowed (made to be)... choose a thing, sarah to be unable to produce a child until He determined it.  david to impregnate bathsheba, then kill her husband.  Christ to be beaten and crucified.  name a thing, anything that has happened in this wicked age, God has allowed it, or caused it to be so for the purpose of fulfilling His ultimate goal of being all in all.

hope this clarifies my intent in the use of the word “allows”,

tony

Dennis Vogel:
Understood Tony but I have to keep in mind that there are new people coming to this forum everyday. Words have meanings and we should always try to use the correct words. Nothing personal. Just pointing something out.

Isa 45:7  I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

Hi Tony

I totally agree with you: God causes everything.
The funny thing is: 20 years ago, I was 20, and I was celebrating on the Champs-Elysées the former french soccer team’s victory!
20 years later, God has starting to put some wisdom in my heart and I see it all from a different view, the greatest one.. 😅
Of course I still appreciate the beauty of sports, whatever they are. I’m a photo journalist for the sport pages of a french tv guide... God has so much humor 😆
Let Our Father be glorified through Jesus Christ

Wanda:
I get what your saying Tony.

Learning we don't have free will has had a huge impact in my life. Even though I believed it almost instantly, I would still get tripped up,  because of  the enourmous scope of Gods sovereignty.  At this time I would have a very real issue with a creator that allowed anything.
