It pleased the Lord to bruise him Isaiah 53:10
« on: March 14, 2021, 08:39:08 PM »

I have been studying the law of the offerings because I want to know what our duties will be as priests in the kingdom of God and to have a understanding of the different sacrifices and what they spiritually represent.

I'm left feeling heartbroken and humbled at just how much Christ was bruised in his spirit for us.  What he endured to become the fine flour of the meat offering!

I read in Psalm 69:20 " Scorn has broken my heart and has left me helpless;"
Psalm 55:12-13 "For it is not an enemy who reproaches me;
Then I could bear it.
Nor is it one who hates me who has exalted himself against me;
Then I could hide from him.
13But it was you, a man my equal,
My companion and my acquaintance."

And, how much more was His body bruised for us!!

I praise God!

Isaiah 52:14 "Just as there were many who were appalled at him -- his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any human being and his form marred beyond human likeness

Isaiah 53:3 "He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief. Like one from whom men hide their faces, He was despised, and we esteemed Him not

  It was much worse than we know! His appearance was was caused by crucifying and stoning! The Jewish leaders tried other times to do so.John 18:31 Pilot said Take him and judge him according to your law. Don't forget what Paul says in Gal 6:17 I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus. Paul was never crucified but stoned "until dead". Acts 14:19

There is a video on you tube called A Roman Scourging. It is a simulation depicting
the gore of a scourging of forty lashes .  Only because it is a simulation could I watch
it , nevertheless , it is so heartbreaking. He endured so much unbelievable pain for us.

God be praised 😞 God Bless you all.

In Christ, Pamela
