My family and I have been blessed to spend four days in Glacier National Park. Talk about focusing your mind on our Creator Elohim!!! We live in Colorado very near the mountains, and they are impressive…but the majesty of the granite behemoths in Glacier are much more awesome. It really got me to thinking about the power and mind of our Father and His Son. The sheer scope of the creation and what I must assume was meticulously and exactingly planned, got me to wondering how long The Father planned all of this.
Did he plan it all before He created His only begotten Son? Or did they plan it together after the Father created Christ? (Revelation 3:14-And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God). Obviously we don’t know but I still wonder.
Ray proved to me that the creation in Genesis fits very well into present day man’s understanding of the age of the earth and the universe. “For six yoms (days) God created…”
So if the earth is 4 or 5 billion years old and the universe is 20 billion years old (?), isn’t it something to wonder about on how long the planning took? A billion years? A hundred billion years? A trillion years? It boggles my mind!
But the true jist of my thought was the realization that IF I am one of the elect, then that was decided 5 billion, or a hundred billion, or a trillion years ago! How humbling is that?! But even if I am not, then it was decided at that same time that I would be born physical and ONE day be granted never ending life.
I tell you, this opportunity created much thought and much praise and thanks to our God.
